GENERAL INFORMATION
BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian Charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of Ukrainian charitable foundations.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
(2023-2026)" with the financial support of the US Government. The Response Consortium is implementing a multi-sectoral humanitarian aid program for the population affected by the conflict in Ukraine. The Goal is to strengthen people's resilience and ability to overcome the consequences of war through timely access to multi-sectoral support and quality information management. The target groups are internally displaced persons, people affected by the war, returnees after the reduction of the intensity of hostilities, with the priority of supporting the elderly and persons with disabilities.The geography of implementation is urban and remote rural communities of the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions. The economic capacity building component is implemented in Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
Target groups: Internally displaced persons, people affected by war, returnees after the reduction of the intensity of hostilities, with priority to support the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Duties and tasks:The head of the material assistance accounting department establishes accounting standards for each project, based on legislative requirements, fund policies, and reporting requirements of each project;
Studies the project documentation, requirements regarding the project's goal and indicators, plans to attract resources for the implementation of projects, namely:
attracting employees to form a flexible team at the program and regional levels;
determines indicators for each activity of the project
Approves Standard Operating Procedures to support each project, if necessary conducts team training on new reporting requirements;
Responsible for the audit of reconciliations of warehouse merchandise balances, namely: verifies the correctness of write-offs of batches in the accounting system, if necessary, initiates the process of consideration and correction of discrepancies with the identification of causes and consequences;
Responsible for receiving, checking and storing for further audit all documentation for each project. In case of discrepancies, promptly initiates the process of consideration and correction of discrepancies;
At the end of the projects, conducts an internal audit with each financial manager and accountant assigned to the project;
Performs scheduled and unscheduled audits of completed projects, where he presents the accounting methodology, provides supporting documents according to the audit sample and other explanations of the accounting methodology and documents confirming operations.
Professional requirements:
Experience of internal and externalinternal audits, understanding the methodology of recognizing expenses as legitimate and the logic of providing primary documentation confirming the movement and write-off of goods;
Experience of working with a team, planning activities, managing the quality of accounting results;
Experience in mentoring and team training is a strong advantage;
Experience as an auditor/commodity expert/commodity accounting controller/accountant (nomenclature of 500 units or more); experience with accounting systems (preferably 1C) is a strong advantage;
Desirable experience in processing inventory results: understanding write-off operations, compensation, overlap resorts. Understanding the processes of returning goods to the supplier due to substandard condition or non-compliance with the stated characteristics;
Experience of working with regular reports in terms of product balances by warehouses, product categories; operations in terms of employees, suppliers, recipients (legal and natural persons);
Understanding the principles of material responsibility;
Term contract until July 31, 2026, depending on further funding and personal results;
Support and mentoring;
