We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who will work with our DevOps and Infrastructure team to plan and manage their projects and tasks for a successful and timely delivery. You will be working with teams and stakeholders locally and across the globe to provide and improve all phases of the project prioritization, planning, delivery, and progress reporting. Responsibilities will entail working with other project managers to make sure everyone is up to date on project status and potential issues while working with all of IT management to make sure all projects are scoped appropriately and roadblocks are resolved quickly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage project and task prioritization for the team, and participate in quarterly planning.
  • Be the main point of contact for multiple projects at a given time.
  • Lead scoping activities for the team projects, schedule required meetings and own project communications.
  • Provide regular and meaningful status updates to the leadership and other teams.
  • Perform a risk assessment to minimize project risks and resolve roadblocks on time.
  • Build meaningful and trackable project plans, including dependencies and potential risks.
  • Coordinate and communicate deployment scheduling of various features.
  • Test and verify completed projects and deliverables.
  • Work with the team to properly organize and manage projects and tasks in Jira.
  • Manage resourcing plans — planning team tasks for the sprint and overall project delivery. Manage resources between multiple projects, depending on the priorities.
  • Work with stakeholders and teams to prepare executive summaries that have estimated timelines and resource impact so prioritization and strategic decisions can be made.
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
  • Be willing to put in the work necessary to deliver the tasks on time with a high-quality output.

Your key skills and capabilities:

  • Experience managing projects and tasks related to DevOps and Infrastructure for at least 2-3 years.
  • Excellent technical project management fundamentals such as a strong understanding of the software development process, including planning, development, testing, and deployment, as well as work breakdown, dependencies, and responsibilities (full SDLC).
  • Experience with team resourcing, short and long-term.
  • Strong communication skills — clear and direct written and verbal. Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with both Agile (SCRUM and Kanban) and Waterfall style teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and changing priorities.
  • Experience in quarterly project planning.
  • Expert-level Jira management experience.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint or other presentation software.
  • Experience building Gantt charts within an Agile environment.
  • English level — B2 or above.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the auto parts industry.
  • Experience with E-commerce.

What you’ll do in the first 30 days:

  • Familiarize yourself with the engineering team and their processes.
  • Familiarize yourself with PMO team members in other locations and organization structures.
  • Learn about the current projects being worked on and the tools used.
  • Stary being involved in project meetings.

Additionally, within the first 3 months, you will:

  • Work with PMO team members to identify key areas to improve.
  • Develop a report that can be delivered to executive team and be reviewed on a Bi-weekly basis.
  • Make adjustments to Jira that will facilitate better team visibility of ticket statuses.

By 6 months and beyond you will:

  • Own prioritization, planning, and delivery of the projects for the DevOps team.
  • Work with IT leadership to make sure all teams and projects stay on track and properly communicated.
  • Own continuous processes and other improvements for your team.
