Ciklum is looking for a  Technical Consultant to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Technical Consultant, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Project helps banks, insurers and other major financial institutions to combat fraud, unauthorized trading and money laundering, and meets their regulatory compliance obligations. We supply software solutions as both software deployed on customer premises and cloud based supported services through our Cloud Managed Services team.

Responsibilities:

• Deploys and integrates enterprise solutions including:
• Configuration of the software and supporting applications
• Development of custom extensions, to provide required integrations or functionality at the direction of Technical Lead
• Identification of issues, demonstrating initiative in resolution of technical issues and seeking our support of Technical Lead where problems are too complex to debug individually
• Adhering to software development approaches and methodologies
• Able to self-manage in delivering high quality work product to meet project expectations within deadlines
• Goes beyond routine questioning to find the underlying causes of problems or discrepancies to identify problems and develop sound solutions
• Tracks and reports development progress to Team Lead
• Able to work with other members of teams in a collaborative manner
• Good communication skills

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of professional roles in organizations
• Understand and analyze requests, react quickly
• Excellent English, both written and speaking skills are required
• Detail oriented, reliable, stress resistant
• Responsible, initiative, multitasking is a must, self-organized, eager to learn
• Strong ability to research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues
• Experience with enterprise-wide software deliveries using an SDLC delivery framework (Waterfall or Agile)
• Ability to provide hands-on support to test team during QA cycles
• Hands on experience in the following is required:
• Languages: Java, Python, (working knowledge of at least 1 is required. Other OOP languages may be considered)
• Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL (Strong knowledge of SQL concepts and procedural language constructs in 1 is a must. Other DBMS such SQL Server, MySQL, or DB2 may be considered)
• J2EE Application Servers: JBoss EAP, IBM WebSphere (familiarity in at least 1 is required)
• Messaging and Streams: JMS and Kafka
• Scripting: Linux/Unix and shell scripting (must be comfortable working in linux based environments)
• Source Control Tools (SVN, GIT of equivalent)

Desirable:

• Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of CI/CD Tools and Pipeline
• Cloud providers — AWS, Azure
• Experience with XSLT, XML, or JavaScript
• Data Analytics/Mining: Using SAS, R, Python
