Alight’s Ukraine-based operation is responding to displacement caused by the invasion of Ukraine. The program will support displaced people and responding organizations to do the doable, guide newly displaced, and create safe havens for safety and healing.About Alight:At Alight, we stand with displaced communities to co-create programs that promote dignity and wellness. Our commitment to mental health is unwavering, and the expansion of our services to include MHPSS for individuals affected by displacement in Ukraine and Poland is a testament to this pledge.Job Summary:The Technical Advisor will lead the development of Alight’s MHPSS program. This role is central to offering strategic oversight and direct support to ensure the comprehensive delivery of psychosocial services, with an emphasis on networking, coordination, and technical excellence.Comprehensive Program Framework: Collaborate with affected communities to design an MHPSS program that addresses the unique needs of displaced populations in Ukraine and Poland, integrating innovative and best practice approaches.Strategic Networking: Forge and maintain connections with technical experts, organizations, and stakeholders in the MHPSS domain to foster partnerships and collaborations that enhance program quality and innovation.Technical Standards Development: Lead the creation and revision of MHPSS technical standards, ensuring that the program is built on the latest best practices and industry benchmarks.Coordination with Organizations and Donors: Engage with other NGOs, international organizations, and donors within Ukraine to align efforts, share resources, and participate in joint initiatives, ensuring a united approach to MHPSS.Technical Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and refine the MHPSS program’s monitoring and evaluation framework, incorporating technical metrics to assess effectiveness and ensure fidelity to program standards.Strategic Planning: Formulate strategies, goals, and objectives that align with Alight’s mission and respond effectively to the communities’ needs.Implementation Planning: Draft detailed plans for program execution, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.Effective M&E System: Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system to assess the program’s impact and make data-driven adjustments.Qualifications:Advanced degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field; additional training or certification in trauma-informed care or MHPSS in humanitarian settings is highly desirable.At least 5 years of experience in developing and leading MHPSS programs, preferably in humanitarian or conflict-affected contexts.Demonstrated experience in program development, including strategy, implementation, and evaluation.Strong understanding of the psychosocial implications of displacement and the specific needs of populations affected by the Ukraine conflict.Experience in capacity building, training, and supervision of MHPSS staff.Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partners.Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and ideally in Ukrainian or Polish.Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work effectively in diverse international settings.Ability to travel within the program areas as required.Fluency in Ukrainian and English (written and spoken).What We Offer:A key role in developing and shaping a vital MHPSS program that makes a real difference in the lives of displaced individuals.The opportunity to work with a team of passionate professionals dedicated to humanitarian aid and mental health.Professional development opportunities in a growing and learning-oriented environment.A competitive salary and benefits package, reflective of the critical nature of this role within the organisation.How to apply:Apply using the following link by May 17th.
