Fintech startup Spendbase is the one-stop shop for optimizing your spending on cloud and software subscriptions. We’re rapidly scaling our card project and fintech offerings, and to fuel this growth, we’re looking for a proactive and creative Team Lead (Golang + Node.js) to join our awesome crew.

From vendor negotiations and SaaS operations to offering spend management cards, our philosophy is plain and simple: maximize the return on the software you already own. Get the best software deals, increase adoption of your current stack, take control of your renewals, and more.

You will work with Golang, Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, and more to build scalable backend systems. We’re early on in our journey using Golang so we are looking for someone who has either already successfully used it in previous projects or has appetite to pick it up on a role!

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of total working experience
• previous tech leadership or mentorship experience — either on top of your previous individual contributor roles or standalone
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Nest.js or/and Golang
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Docker
• Strong desire to learn new skills and gain knowledge
• Meticulous attention to details
• Strong problem-solving skills

• Upper-Intermediate English is a must

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems
• Collaborate with CTO on the technical solutions
• Write clean code, perform unit testing
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Deploy and maintain Docker containers
• Integrate third-party services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers
