Sim-Networks Ukraine (a subsidiary of the German Netversor GmbH) invites a support system administrator to its team. Your tasks will be: technical support for the company's clients in the field of hosting (work in the ticket system); assisting clients in working with services and prompt troubleshooting, assistance in the transfer of sites and projects; strict compliance with the rules and norms of service provision (according to SLA); participation in filling and improving the knowledge base (KB); making suggestions for improving the system of interaction with clients. Requirements for candidates: work experience as a system administrator from 2 years; previous experience in providing hosting services will be a great advantage for the candidate; experience in remote work with server and network equipment in a data center; ability to quickly find causes, problems and ways to solve them; willingness to work on a variable schedule remotely from home. You should know and able to:Linux OS (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu) - above intermediate / advanced level including: basic installation and system configuration; experience with software and hardware RAID 0/1/5/10; experience with LVM; diagnostics of CPU loads / RAM / HDD / networks; system configuration for sysctl loads / ulimits; system backup and recovery; installation or build of custom packages. Windows Server OS - Intermediate level administration of these systems including: basic installation and system configuration; experience with Raid software ; configuration of RDS terminal server; installation and configuration of AD domain controller; system backup / recovery from backup copies. Remote work with servers using IPMI / ILO / iDRAC tools, including: installation and configuration of Linux / Windows operating systems; BIOS configuration / HW Raid 0,1,5,6,10; server health diagnostics; HW Raid health diagnostics - replacement of faulty drives, Raid expansion. Remote work with switches and routers of network equipment, including: basic configuration of remote connection; basic configuration of L3 routing; experience with VPN IPSEC, OpenVPN, L2TP; experience with VLAN; basic status diagnostics: port status, hardware status, presence of errors in operation; firmware (FW) update. XEN / ESXi / KVM virtualization, including: basic installation and configuration hypervisors in different variations - Xen opensource / XenServer / ESXi - 5.5−6.5 / KVM / Proxmox; knowledge and understanding of the principles of virtualization; OS migration between different hypervisors; search for problems related to loads and lack of resources; knowledge and understanding of the principles of operation of virtual networks; experience with backup in virtualization systems. Virtual hosting, including: knowledge and understanding of the principles of LAMP shared hosting; the ability to work with control panels, in particular ISPmanager or its analogues Cpanel / DirectAdmin / VestaCP / ISPConfig / etc; searching for problems in the work of client site scripts; transferring sites between accounts and between different servers; migration sites from other hosting providers; help in solving problems with incorrect operation of sites or mail on virtual hosting; help in using the service; help in installation and basic configuration of scripts/CMS; help in restoring sites from backup copies; knowledge / understanding of the principles of service provision hosting provider - virtual hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers, DNS, cloud services, equipment placement; writing scripts to automate work (bash / perl / python); knowledge / experience with server software (nginx, apache, mysql, php ) ISCSI, NFS, CIFS, DNS), the ability to diagnose the operation of these protocols. Personal qualities: customer orientation; competent written and oral communication; attentiveness; organizational skills; the ability to learn quickly and self-teach; the ability to take responsibility.
