System engineer for cloud and network technologies

What you will have to do:

< li> Participate as a technology expert (system engineer) in R&D projects, as well as in the start-up of software and hardware complexes of private and collective cloud infrastructures, including server, network infrastructure and data storage systems (including physical installation and switching), and also the virtualization software technology stack (SDDC, SDS, SDN).
• Maintaining the relevance of the technological stack of software and hardware complexes (including updating the hardware microcode).
• Development and maintenance of operational documentation (process maps, diagrams, diagrams, CMDB) and user documentation.
• Technical support of complexes, diagnostics, search and troubleshooting, interaction with IT specialists of customers and with technical support services of vendors in the framework of processing service requests.
• Conducting training of customers' employees in basic management techniques and working with developed complexes.
• Support and development of own professional and business competencies.
• Completion of training and obtaining certificates required to maintain vendor statuses.

Professional competences:

• Familiarity with the theory of service and process management of IT (ITIL), experience of participation in ITSM processes.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Open Systems Interoperability (OSI) reference model and the TCP/IP stack.
• Network equipment configuration skills, understanding and experience using NAT, VPN, VLAN, trunking, EtherChannel and similar technologies such as LACP, STP, routing (IGP/BGP families), ACL.
• Possession of the theoretical bases of the operation of SAN, local and network SZD.
• Practical experience of working with x86/x64 architecture server systems and their configuration features when building complex hardware and software platforms.
• Knowledge of the basic principles of virtualization technologies and basic usage patterns of virtual/cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with the current VMware technology stack (vSphere, vSAN, NSX).
• Practical knowledge and experience in administration of advanced virtual infrastructures based on VMware technologies.
• Basic knowledge and skills in installing, deploying and configuring basic Windows Server and Linux services.
• Acquaintance with the Microsoft software infrastructure reference model. Basic knowledge and skills are establishedadministration, deployment and configuration of basic AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, ISA, SQL services.
• Knowledge of the basic principles of operation, skills in deployment and configuration of backup systems (familiarity and experience with Veeam products will be an added advantage).
• Experience with vendor price lists and configurators, ability to create and read hardware and software specifications.
• Practical experience of interactions with vendor technical support services (opening/closing cases, escalation, reporting).

• Skills of developing structured documents.
• Acquaintance and practice of using the basics of project activity.
• English for professional use: fluent reading of technical documentation, correspondence, understanding of oral presentations (seminars, conferences), communication with vendor support (including oral).
