System administrator (Apache, Firebird) in DTEK, TOV, Energetichna kompaniya

We are looking for a specialist (system administrator) to join the billing systems support team installation, configuration and support of software used on the basis of Informix, Firebird, MS SQL, PostgreSQL databases.

Work format: remote.

Necessary skills and knowledge:

• Education - higher technical;
• Work experience in a similar position preferably from 2 years;
• Experience in installing, maintaining and configuring Informix, Firebird, MS SQL, PostgreSQL databases;
• Knowledge of the basics of DBMS (ability to work with JOIN functions and aggregation; creation of subqueries; creating/adding/deleting/updating data in the table; understanding what indexes are and why they are needed, etc.);
• Basic knowledge of SQL;
• Experience in supporting web services (Apache, Tomcat);
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Tomcat will be an advantage.

Professional responsibility:

• Installation, configuration and support of the software used on the basis of Informix, Firebird, MS SQL, PostgreSQL;
• Ensuring the availability of the database, performing work on the administration of Informix, Firebird, MS SQL, PostgreSQL;
• Planning and implementation of database backup policies, creation and maintenance of backup databases;
• Restoration of DBMS operation after failures;
• Maintenance of technical documentation;
• Support (administration) of external web resources companies.
