Work overview/summary:
The IT department supports the work of the organization , providing robust and scalable applications and
infrastructure IRC offices in the US and around the world, including many technologically
complex locations. An integral component of this effort is ensuring that country programs have the capacity to effectively implement and support these IT initiatives across country offices and other locations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensuring user support in the Ukrainian program. Registration and acceleration of all types of support
work using the ServiceNow task creation platform.
- Work closely with all staff to ensure all IT hardware and software are compliant
- Interact with programs, operations and field offices to ensure business needs are understood and effective support is provided.
- Work with field office staff, state and regional IT leadership to ensure timely support
- Provide IT induction and other relevant training to ensure that staff have the knowledge and skills appropriate to their responsibilities in using technology as implemented in the IRC.
- Manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, security and documentation of LAN, desktop/laptop computers, communication resources and other office equipment.
- Help ensure the successful implementation of global IRC IT initiatives and policies.
- Enforce network security policies, maintain firewall rules, and perform regular security checks for new vulnerabilities.
- Microsoft Office support, Active Directory maintenance, VMware, Windows server 2016R2 problem registration in the Service-Now IRC IT support system; By mail across Ukraine
- Installation and support of specialized programs — Integra rollout, Box, Workday, Rescuenet,
payroll software and other collaboration tools (Office 365 and MS Teams).
- Checking and providing technical advice to procurement regarding the purchase of spare parts for IT equipment and ensuring that the equipment purchased has the correct technical specifications and meets the specification of the IRC standard.
- Windows 10/11 operating system image, hardware, software and peripherals.
- Perform preventive maintenance of all IRC computers and network resources.
- Implement and manage backup solutionsfor office/individual users in accordance with IRC IT to recommend and provide necessary training on the use of these backup solutions.
- Create and maintain IRC computer/hardware inventory ensuring accuracy.
- Create and maintain network documentation, which includes but is not limited to IP address, access system, email creation system, original network updates and changes, etc.
- Diagnoses hardware and software failures by patiently interviewing customers about the problem and explaining procedures to them.
- Work closely with the International and HQ IT team on help desk, communications and other national and global IRC IT projects.
- Explore local Internet connection options to obtain sufficient bandwidth for the internal network and
connection of the program.
- Develop and implement user and support training for local staff, including training in basic care and maintenance of computers and user equipment.
- Experience installing, configuring, and managing both wired and wireless LANs and firewalls.
- Computer skills are required.
- Excellent communication and communication skills.
- Good writing and communication skills; customer service experience
- Perform other duties as directed by the IT manager.
Education:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent
- 1-2 years of relevant experience working with public or international organizations.
- Experience with: Windows 7-11, MS Office 365, Sophos Anti-Virus, etc.
- Experience using an IT ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Jira.
- Experience with the following technologies: LAN, WAN, network administration and configuration - TP-Link, user of UNIFI controller, Cisco Meraki SDWAN.
- Understanding of ITIL/ITSM, frameworks and fundamentals.
- Experience with the principles of cloud computing (Google Workspace, Azure, MS365).
