International Medical Corps will conduct an infant and young child nutrition survey to assess current feeding practices for children aged 0-23 months, access to humanitarian aid and nutritional status children under two years of age inZaporizka, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv , Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Heads of survey and data collection should be in each of the regions.

Survey duration: from 06/05/2024 to 06/30/2024

Infant Feeding Shodo Survey Guide and young children,  will support and guide enumerators in data collection based on the Infant Feeding Survey methodology and young children.They will assist and work together with the survey consultant, enumerators, translator, local authorities and MMK staff in the collection of survey dataAnna 

TASK BRIEF

Infant and Young Child Feeding Survey Managers are expected to start work on 06/05/2024 and finish no later than 06/30/2024. Attendance logs will be entered for all events. Summary feedback indicating attendance, general questions and survey recommendations will be sent. The service provider will keep a record of the hours of service provision. The service provider will prepare a report on the services provided.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

< li style="font-weight: 400">Get active in a three-day training, including pre-testing of questionnaires and instruments in close cooperation with a survey consultant.< /li>
• To bear overall responsibility for conducting surveys, including daily monitoring of the work of research teams, daily data quality control.
• Manage cluster and household selection procedures and ensure strict adherence to these procedures by registrars.
• Daily monitor the quality of data entry by registrars.
• Provide a daily report to the research consultant on problems and practical solutions, every night, verbally.
• Represent the International Medical Corps organization in the field and act as a link between the organization and the community.
• Maintain good relations with the team and local residents.
• Conduct group discussion. 

QUALIFICATION:

• It is desirable to have a diploma or degree in the field of social work, statistics, foodand related fields of health care. 
• Experience in the implementation and control of household surveys.
• Experience in the analysis and interpretation of statistical data.
• Very good analytical, organizational, planning and quick response skills.
• Good management skills, team leadership and humanitarian spirit.
• Good communication and representational skills.
• Ability to set priorities, creativity, flexibility.< /li>
• Knowledge in the field of nutrition will be an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken Ukrainian. Knowledge of English will be an added advantage.
• Preference is given to women as they will lead group discussions on infant and young child feeding, including breastfeeding.
