Support system administrator in SIM-Networks

Sim-Networks Ukraine (subsidiary company of the German Netversor GmbH) invites its team - a support system administrator. Your tasks will be: technical support for the company's clients in the field of hosting (work will be transferred to the system); help clients work with services and prompt troubleshooting, help with the migration of sites and projects; strict compliance rules and norms of service provision (according to SLA); participation in updating and improving the knowledge base (KB); making proposals for improving the system of interaction with clients. Requirements for candidates: experience of working as a system administrator for at least 2 years; previous experience in providing hosting services will be a great advantage for the candidate ; experience of remote work with server and network equipment in a data center; ability to quickly find causes, problems and ways to solve them; willingness to work on a flexible schedule remotely from home. Knowledge and skills are required: OSLinux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu) — above medium/high level, including: basic installation and system configuration ; experience with software and hardware RAID 0/1/5/10; experience with LVM; diagnostics of CPU/ RAM/ HDD/ network loads; system configuration for sysctl/ ulimits loads; system backup and recovery; installation or assembly of non-standard packages. Windows Server OS — an average level of administration of these systems, including: basic installation and configuration of the system; experience with Raid software; RDS configuration of the terminal server; installation and configuration of the AD domain controller; system backup / recovery from backup copies. Remote work with servers using IPMI / ILO / iDRAC tools, fatigue including: installation and configuration of Linux/Windows operating systems; BIOS/ HWRaid0,1,5,6,10 settings; server status diagnostics; HWRaid status diagnostics — replacement of faulty disks, Raid expansion. Remote work with switches and routers of network equipment, including: basic configuration of remote connection; basic L3 routing configuration; IPSEC, OpenVPN, L2TP VPN experience; VLAN network experience; basic state diagnostics: port state, hardware state, presence of operational errors; firmware (FW) update. XEN/ ESXi/ KVM virtualization, including: basic installation and configuration of hypervisors in various variations — Xen opensource/ XenServer/ ESXi — 5.5–6.5 / KVM/ Proxmox; knowledge and understanding of virtualization principles; OS migration between different hypervisors; search for problems related to resource overloads; knowledge and understanding of the principles of virtual networks; work experience with backup in virtualization systems. Virtual hosting, including: knowledge and understanding of the principles of LAMP shared hosting; the ability to work with control panels, in particular ISPmanager or its analogues Cpanel/ DirectAdmin/ VestaCP/ ISPConfig/ etc; searching for problems with client site scripts; transferring sites between different accounts servers; migration of sites from other hosting providers; help in solving problems with incorrect operation of sites or mail in virtual hosting; help in using the service; help in installing basic configuration of scripts/CMS; help in restoring sites from backup copies; knowledge/understanding of the principles ofprovision of hosting provider services — virtual hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers, DNS, cloud services, equipment placement; writing scripts for work automation (bash/perl/python); knowledge/experience of working with server software (nginx, apache, mysql, php, exim); average level of knowledge in MySQL/ PostgreSQL/ MSSQL databases, working with SQL queries, organizing backups, restoring from backups, load diagnostics; knowledge of application-level protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, FTP, ISCSI, NFS ) !; remote work; work schedule: shift (12 hours, day/night, 2 days of work/2 days of rest); probationary period: up to 3 months; social package: according to the Labor Code, paid vacation 28 k.d. overtime.
