Support Engineer (road to DevOps), Remote in IT Craft

IT Craft is looking for a proactive Support Engineer, ready to take responsibility, grow professionally and develop in the direction of DevOps.

Responsibilities:

• Support and administration of Linux systems on bare metal servers;
• Working with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud: starting/stopping instances, network configuration, diagnostics and troubleshooting;
• Adding new services and improving the client infrastructure architecture;
• Working with Terraform at the basic level (viewing and understanding the structure, making changes under the guidance of senior engineers);
• Using AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, internal assistants) to accelerate diagnostics, documentation generation, log analysis, finding solutions and optimizing processes;
• Communicating with customers in English through Help Desk/ticket systems;
• Primary incident diagnosis and escalation of complex requests;
• Proactive monitoring and diagnosis of potential problems;
• Maintenance of technical documentation and participation in internal process improvement.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of Linux (CLI, systemd, networks, basic diagnostics);
• Experience with bare metal servers: OS installation, configuration, troubleshooting;
• Basic experience with AWS / Azure / GCP;
• Initial understanding of Terraform and IaC concepts;
• Knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP;
• Proactiveness, independence in solving problems and willingness to constantly learn;
• Desire to develop in the DevOps direction: CI/CD, containerization, automation;
• English level — Intermediate or higher (written communication with clients).

Experience with Docker or Kubernetes;

Requirements:
