TECHNICAL ACTIVITY SUPERVISOR

The main activity of the employee:

Supervision and control over the implementation of logistical activities in the project related to his/ its technical activities (construction, information and communication technologies, warehouses, workshops, etc.) in accordance with the standards, protocols and procedures of MSF to ensure the effective functioning of systems, infrastructure and equipment of MSF within project.

Main duties:

  • Perform day-to-day supervision and control of the execution of his/her technical activities in the project, ensuring compliance with MSF standards, protocols and procedures and including one or more actions:
    • Construction: all technical and planning aspects of construction and rehabilitation activities in the project;
    • Information and communication technologies: installation and maintenance of software and hardware of communication systems and means ;
    • Workshop: daily mechanical maintenance of equipment and vehicles in Coordination and project;
    • Other technical logistics activities.
  • Supervise and lead the logistics team under his/her responsibility, including defining the tasks of each individual (daily supervision and quality control of their work); drawing up a work schedule; organizing and conducting team meetings and participating in the selection and training of personnel.
  • Planning and supervision of personnel processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation and internal and external communication) of personnel under his/her responsibility in order to ensure that the size , as well as the amount of
  • Management and organization of materials and tools necessary for his/her operations, which includes stock inventory, receiving and processing orders, keeping records of goods received, and checking monthly usage of consumables.< /li>
  • Together with the line manager to plan the necessary inspections and maintenance of installations/systems of his/her technical activity.
  • Participate in monthly reports in accordance with the guidelines and implementation of reporting practices and protocols.
  • Performance of delegated tasks in accordance with his/her specialty and in accordance with the job description.

Features of the unit MSF:

  • Supervision and control of technical activities from the base in Mykolaiv to points of assistance in the Kherson region and others, in accordance with MSF's activity plans. Carrying out regular one-day trips.
  • In cooperation with the CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radioactive and Nuclear Hazard) specialist to ensure the implementation of CBRN protocols in the mission. (Training, inventory management, creation of SOPs (standard operating procedures).
  • In collaboration with the logistics coordinator, be part of the logistics strategy in the mission (emergency preparedness strategy, training, SOP, analysis).

  • Ensuring technical and proper logistical support (WAS (water, sanitation and hygiene), fleet, electricity, construction) to the project on site when necessary (temporary employee replacement, training, emergency response).
  • In cooperation with the Biomed mission, ensuring the implementation of Biomed protocols in the mission.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Basic secondary education;
  • Diploma/education in engineering or construction is preferred;

Experience:

  • Required - 4 years of experience as an engineer or 6 years of related construction work;
  • Experience in project and team management;
  • Ability to read and estimate drawing;
  • Experience with MSF or other non-governmental organizations is desirable; English language proficiency is average (B2 or higher);

Languages:

  • Languages- incooling in Ukrainian and English languages ​​(intermediate level - B2 or higher).
