International Solidarity (SI) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization that for more than 40 years has been providing assistance to the population affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters, providing the vital needs of food, water and shelter. In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. With a presence in approximately twenty countries, SI teams - a total of 2,000 people, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters and volunteers - work with professionalism and dedication while respecting culture.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction and supervision of the Co-Coordinator of the Subnational WaSH Cluster of Eastern Ukraine, assistant co-coordinator of the WASH cluster will be responsible for coordinating WASH activities in his area of responsibility, which includes Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk regions ("Focus Area"). Specifically, the objective of this position is to provide leadership and facilitate processes that will ensure a coordinated, strategic, appropriate, coherent and effective response by subnational WASH cluster members.
The WASH Cluster Assistant will be a member of the will be an employee of "International Solidarity", but will work impartially, serving the needs of all members of the sub-national cluster for the east of Ukraine.
MAJOR DUTIES AND DUTIES:
The main duties follow from the Ukrainian WASH Cluster Minimum Requirements for National Humanitarian WASH Coordination Platforms, which should be read in conjunction with the job description. In this position, the employee will work as a member of the WASH Cluster team in Ukraine. The WASH Cluster Assistant will be responsible for the tasks listed below for the Eastern Regions.
Operational and Coordination Work
- Assist the WASH Cluster Co-Coordinator in organizing coordination meetings at regional and sub-national levels, including logistics, agenda, invitations and communication with partners. This also includes preparing clear and timely minutes of meetings, tracking actions and ensuring follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
- Support coordination with WASH contact persons in designated areas, WASH cluster colleagues at the sub-national level, partners and local authorities.
- Support constant communication between the WASH cluster team, WASH cluster partners and key actors, community representatives and local authorities.
- Support communication on emerging needs, partner plans and priority issues.
- Written translation of meeting minutes, updated information on coordination, technical instructions, reporting templates and communication products (Ukrainian - English).
- Oral translation during coordination meetings, field visits and discussions with partners to ensure inclusive communication.
- Assistance in the preparation and distribution of training materials, instructions and coordination tools.
- Organization of trainings for regional coordinators, communities and implementing partners.
- Facilitating regular communication with WASH contact persons in the region and supporting their participation in coordination and reporting processes.
Planning and implementation of the WASH cluster strategy
- Supporting the implementation of the subnational cluster strategy WASH.
- Promote and support the use of agreed tools, standards and guidelines of the WASH cluster for surveys and assessments.
- Maintain and regularly update the WASH inquiry and response tracking system, facilitating accurate data from partners and communities in all areas.
- Assist the co-coordinator and team in the preparation of key summaries, tables and visualizations.
- Regularly provide information for cluster reporting and raising key issues before the Eastern Ukraine WASH subcluster coordinator and/or other relevant coordinating bodies.
Assist in documenting capacity gaps and coordination needs to inform localized WASH coordination at the oblast level.
Monitoring and evaluation
- Facilitate and support monitoring and evaluation of WASH cluster performance.
- Leverage lessons learned from previous activities and provide information to WASH cluster co-coordinator of Eastern Ukraine for appropriate revision of strategies and action plans, as well as identification of a potential capacity deficit for its elimination by nationalthem and sub-national WASH cluster.
- Assisting in coordination missions, monitoring visits, post-impact assessments or joint field activities in designated areas.
Accountability to the affected population
- Strengthening the engagement of WASH cluster partners with local and district councils in priority areas
- Supporting and facilitating the collection of feedback from beneficiaries to ensure that interventions are targeted affected population. Raising the awareness of WASH humanitarian organizations on the concept of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP). Promoting the application of AAR and participatory and community-based approaches in planning, implementation and monitoring. 400">CANDIDATES:
