Sr. E-commerce Financial Accountant in Whitecollars

Company Overview:
Our client is a rapidly growing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) e-commerce business based in the UK, managing two seven-figure brands. As they continue to expand, they seek a dedicated and experienced Sr. Financial Accountant to oversee the financial management, bookkeeping, and accounts for both brands.

Position Summary:
The Sr. Financial Accountant will be the key figure responsible for the financial operations of our client's e-commerce businesses. This role requires expertise in managing the finances of similar 7-8-figure e-commerce companies and familiarity with e-commerce platforms and financial tools. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, and compliance with UK and USA financial regulations, and provide valuable insights through detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform weekly bookkeeping duties.
• Prepare monthly management account reports, detailing metrics such as gross profit, net profit, MER, LTV, and New Vs Repeat Purchases.
• Conduct revenue forecasting per product line.
• Liaise with UK and USA accounts to ensure timely filing of all required documents.
• Perform monthly checks and balances to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage UK filing requirements, including confirmation statements, VAT, and end-of-year tax returns.
• Manage USA filing requirements, including state income and sales tax filings, and federal tax returns.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a financial management role for a 7-8-figure e-commerce business.
• English fluency is a must.
• In-depth knowledge of Xero, Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, and Amazon.
• Familiarity with key e-commerce financial terms such as COGS, MER, New vs. repeat Purchases, CAC, AOV, and LTV.
• A degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Significant work experience in similar roles.
• Active day-to-day user of Slack.
