At New Balance, We Got Now.JOB MISSION:New Balance is looking for a Sports Marketing Associate- Basketball who would like to impact a growing category within a brand that is going through a once-in-a-century transformation. This individual will be responsible for leading day-to-day tactical tasks to successfully apply sports marketing assets within and outside of the basketball category.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:Work closely with internal marketing and product teams on athlete activities, including commercial shoots, social posts, footwear management, events, product designs, key product launches and athlete storiesCollaborate with the marketing team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to athletes and partnersAct as liaison when an athlete is present, in all NB-related activitiesBuild databases for allotments, order numbers, sizes, and all assets for all athletes, and relevant partnersResponsible for ordering and forecasting all athlete and partnerships product competition and seeding kits; ensuring accurate & complete deliveryPlan and calendarize contractual obligations against charitable/non-charitable initiatives for athletesInternal and external Reporting and contract managementProficiency with Microsoft Office- Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to provide relevant information through reporting tools; presentations created in PowerPoint. Work closely with the finance team on PO and Invoice managementAbility to multi-task and find solutions in high-pressure situationsKeep the Basketball Sports Marketing Lead informed of all communications with athletes, agents, events, and other NB stakeholdersManage various special projects as directed by Basketball Sports Marketing Lead25% domestic travel requiredREQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:3+ years of progressive marketing and event experienceProven history of executing complex logistical tasks in a timely and efficient mannerExperience working with agencies and external partnersHighly motivated, self-starter with a sense of urgencyExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailTeam player work history and attitudeAn understanding of the sport and business of basketball and the NBAPrevious event activation/planning experience preferredExperience working with celebrities or professional athletes is preferred but not requiredAbility to work weekends and evenings when requiredRegular Associate BenefitsOur products are only as good as the people we hire, so we make sure to hire the best and treat them accordingly.
