Cyber security and data protection specialist

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • Practical experience in the field of personal data protection, information or cyber security.
  • Understanding the principles of GDPR, the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of Personal Data" and familiarity with related regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding the principles of information security, in particular work with access rights, data retention, basic logging mechanisms and cloud services.
  • Experience preparing for internal or external audits or participating in compliance review processes would be an advantage.
  • Skills in working with internal policies, procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Analytical thinking, systematic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain complex technical or regulatory requirements in simple and understandable language to employees.
  • Skills in working with legal documents (policies, agreements, risk assessments, internal documentation) or interaction with the legal team will be an advantage.
  • English language at a level sufficient to work with documentation and international standards.
  • Availability of relevant certifications (CIPP/E, DPO, ISO/IEC 27001, etc.) will be advantage.

Main tasks:

  • Development and updating of internal policies, procedures and instructions for personal data protection, information and cyber security.
  • Monitoring compliance with internal data protection procedures and security standards (in particular, control of information access rights).

  • Analysis of the organization's business processes from the point of view of safe processing of personal data and support of relevant mechanisms for working with data (access, storage, transfer, deletion).

  • Interaction with the IT department regarding the support and improvement of technical information protection measures, as well as cooperation with the legal department in matters of regulatory compliance.
  • Preparation of the organization for internal and external audits in the area of data protection.
  • Conducting trainingssessions and webinars for employees on safe work with data and GDPR.
  • Preparation of reports on the state of information security at the request of management.
  • Monitoring changes in legislation and international standards and initiating relevant updates of internal documents.
