GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian Charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of Ukrainian charitable foundations.

The Charitable Fund "Pravo na Khyst" creates crisis response groups that will carry out their activities in high-risk locations located at a distance of 0 to 40 km. from the front line or border. In some cases, it is possible to travel to the zone of the highest risk, which is from 0 to 15 km. in which there is indiscriminate shelling from artillery, which has an additional risk to the life and health of the Foundation team.

Before starting work or during the employment process, all persons who are part of the team or provide services to the Foundation, who may be involved in trips to high-risk areas, will undergo comprehensive training, aimed at preparing for work in potentially dangerous conditions (conflict zones or other regions with an increased level of risk). The program will include basic first aid skills, mine risk orientation, mine action, evacuation and field risk management. The Fund uses all available technical means and training to reduce risks of a physical nature. Namely: issues PPE, tactical first-aid kits and other equipment.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project "Complex services for the protection of the civilian population affected by hostilities and improving the resilience skills of first responders" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, the population affected by hostilities, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide safevaluable legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.

The geography of activity includes the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.

The project is looking forSpecialist (position) on monitoring the situation of IDPs inm. Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) with visits to high-risk communities.

Duties and tasks

Under the direct supervision of the security coordinator and the regional leader, the employee must:

    monitor compliance with the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons (hereinafter referred to as IDPs) and persons injured as a result of hostilities on an ongoing basis in given locations according to the existing methodology;

  • visit state bodies that provide services for IDPs, places of compact settlement of IDPs, activities aimed at IDPs, etc.;

  • communicate with IDPs, persons affected by hostilities, representatives of government institutions and non-governmental organizations, in order to collect information about the humanitarian situation in general;

  • provide reports in a timely manner on a daily basis based on the results of monitoring visits;

  • if necessary conduct emergency monitoring visits to places of military incidents within the region (this may also apply to youcoming days)

  • prepare reports on a specific incident and/or the humanitarian situation in general;

  • identify the most vulnerable IDPs;

  • explain the laws for IDPs and persons affected by hostilities;

  • provide other individual assistance IDPs;

  • timely and fully display information in the IDPs CRM system;

  • identify potential beneficiaries in the IPA cash program;

  • understanding and compliance with the Foundation's policies; style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">

    preference is given to candidates who have their own car.

  • desired knowledge human rights;

  • readiness for significant work in the "fields" (outside the office);

  • readiness for a large number of trips and more than normal working hours;

  • knowledge and understanding of the legislation on IDPs and the territory of the OOC;

  • the ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;

  • skills to prepare reports (analytical, on a separate incident);

  • understanding humanitarian principles;

  • excellent communication skills, readiness for daily communication with people (IDPs, representatives of government institutions);

  • preference is given to IDPs who lost their jobs due to displacement;

  • self-motivation;

  • flexibility.

  • Residence in the specified location and awareness of the local situation will be significant advantages.
