The Right to Protection, CF
BF "Right to Protection" (Foundation)- a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons with increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights. of Ukraine"is carried out within the framework of the EMPOWER project, financed by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) together with the European Union and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
The project provides multisectoral support to vulnerable population groups affected by the conflict, the elderly, persons with disabilities and those in difficult life circumstances. Activities include humanitarian aid, social and legal services, mental health support and the development of local CSOs in the field of protection.
The project is looking forA specialist in the monitoring of the IDP situation inm. Kyiv (Kyiv region).
Duties and tasks
monitor the rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons (hereinafter - IDPs) on a permanent basis in the given locations;
visit state bodies that provide IDP services, places of compactsettlement of IDPs, measures aimed at IDPs, etc.;
communicate with IDPs, persons affected by hostilities, representatives of government institutions and non-governmental organizations, in order to collect information about the humanitarian situation as a whole;
provide reports in a timely manner on a daily basis, based on the results of monitoring visits;
if necessary, conduct emergency monitoring visits to places of military incidents within the region (this may also apply to weekends)
provide other individual assistance to IDPs;
display information in a timely manner in the IDPs system;
understanding and compliance with the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.
Professional requirements
higher education (preferably: sociology, law, journalism);
preferred knowledge of human rights;
readiness for significant work in the "fields" (outside the office);
readiness for a large number of trips and more than normal working hours;
knowledge and understanding of the legislation on IDPs and the territory of the OOC;
the ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;
skills to prepare reports (analytical, on a separate incident);
understanding humanitarian principles;
excellent communication skills, readiness for daily communication with people (IDPs, representatives of government institutions);
preference is given to IDPs who lost their jobs due to displacement;
self-motivation;
flexibility.
Residence in the specified location and awareness of the local situation will be significant advantages.
