BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a recognized leader of the human rights movement in Ukraine. The Foundation has strong positions in the field of protection of the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and stateless persons. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Fund has been monitoring the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal and psychosocial assistance and strengthening humanitarian response in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions. Today, the Fund works in almost all regional centers of Ukraine and communities within the respective regions.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

"SHIELD : Support, Humanitarian Response and Strengthening of Local Resilience in Ukraine".The project is aimed at solving complex the needs of vulnerable groups of IDPs, returnees and people affected by the conflict in hard-to-reach regions close to the front line and in selected places of collective living in the central regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the MTP specialist includes areas of organizational, methodological and informational support in the performance of project tasks. The professional is responsible for assisting in standards development, emergency planning, and information management. His/her  primary goal is to help create the humanitarian space needed to effectively protect and assist displaced persons. The specialist performs the tasks of coordinating the activities of IDPs, setting up processes for solving the difficult life circumstances of internally displaced families, by improving access to services, organizing a safe space for IDPs, and implementing tools for solving and eliminating the problems of such IDPs. One of the important directions will also beorganization and holding of trainings, events, informational meetings for MTP residents aimed at awareness regarding access to priority needs, services on the ground, community capacity and gradual integration of IDPs into society, as well as preparation for the return of people to their original way of life.

  • Help in the development and maintenance of the network partnerships with various stakeholders, cooperation with foreign partners;

  • Update of contact databases;

  • Regular monitoring of IDP residences;

  • Organization and holding of coordination meetings of MTP residents and administration, as well as with interested parties;

  • Assist in identifying vulnerable beneficiaries;

  • Support in providing humanitarian aid to places of compact residence;

  • Development of partnerships with local authorities, beneficiaries, communities, humanitarian organizations and other interested parties;

  • Help in the development of project documentation;

  • Regular assessment of the needs, including informational and educational, of IDPs living in IDPs;

  • Organization of information and educational activities;

  • Development of a plan of activities in accordance with the agreed topics;

  • Organization and control of the work of trainers and facilitators (if necessary);

  • Involvement of IDP residents in joint activities and development of their own collective initiatives;

  • Documentary support and assistance in the implementation of initiatives of MTP residents;

  • Informative and advisory support for residents of MTP on humanitarian issues;

  • In close collaboration with IDP organization of activities aimed at improving living conditions in MTP; 

  • Regular reporting of results;

  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with the Foundation's Code of Conduct and other policies.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS< /p>

  • higher education in social, pedagogical sciences, psychology, management, law or other related field;

  • work experience in the humanitarian sector;

  • knowledge of national legislation in the field of population protection and IDPs;

  • knowledge of internal displacement issues;

  • knowledge of the region and the socio-political situation in the region;

  • good planning skills and focus on achieving results;

  • excellent communication skills;

  • ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines;

  • mastery of Excel, Word, Google;

  • flexibility, abilityability to build relationships in a team based on trust and friendship;

  • aspiration and ability for self-improvement and development;

  • knowledge of humanitarian principles; /span>
