MAIN TASK
Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) Project Specialist in Mass Media and Digital Media at Handicap International supports the development and implementation of mass media and digital media campaigns using a Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) approach. Activities within the framework of the project cover the entire territory of Ukraine, if we are talking about digital mass media, on the other hand, activities involving print mass media are held in the east and south of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Mykolaiv regions). The specialist reports to the Senior Manager (AVR) Mass Media and Digital Media and is responsible for the creation of EORE and EORE training and protection materials. armed conflict (CPP) and ensuring a coordinated and integrated approach.
OBJECTIVES/REQUIREMENTS LANGUAGES
Task 1:Participation in planning and implementation of mine risk campaigns in digital and print mass media according to current framework documents.
- Planning and preparation of events, tools and resources, implementation of the action plan in cooperation with support services and the technical department;
- Ensuring the proper conduct of events and allocation of resources in accordance with the manager's orders ( manager) of the project to reduce the scale of armed violence in mass media and digital media;
- Operational and strategic support of digital activities in social networks (Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) and offline campaigns in the form of outdoor advertising ( billboards, citylights, announcements in public transport, etc.);
- Participation in the creation of conceptual notes, content plan, visual materials, writing advertisement texts, field testing of materials;
- Ensuring regular reporting on measures, participation in internal and external reporting;
- Determining aspects of the project that need improvement and making proposals for adaptation to the project manager;
- Creating requests for changes to the project;
- Ensuring proper archiving of project documentation and information;
- Collection and compilation of project data in an appropriate database
Task 2:Participate in project monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning
- Project monitoring, in particular tracking indicators of the progress of implementation of measures and expected results; and the effectiveness of achieving campaign goals in social networks and mass media (collection and monitoring of data in mass media and digital networks upon request);
3. Participation in setting up and ensuring proper functioning of accountability mechanisms, training during project implementation.
Task 3.Facilitating external communication about the project
- Communication within external networks as needed;
- Providing information about the project to partners, authorities and interested parties.
Task 4.Participation in the work of the material commission with EORE
- Monitor material needs in collaboration with AVR teams and ensure that needs are properly identified within the Material Commission Action Plan ;
- Proposing, developing and optimizing messages from EORE and CPP to protect conflict-affected populations;
- Overseeing the creation, development and field testing of materials from EORE and CPP
REQUIRED SKILLS
Qualification:
- First degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent) majoring in strategic communications, marketing, journalism, digital communications, project management or other similar field.
Experience(type and amount of experience):
- 2+ years of work experience in a non-governmental organization, marketing agency or Ukrainian mass media in the position of SMM specialist, assistant/ communications manager, PR or similar position;
- Experience working with the topic of informing the population about the risks associated with informing the population about the risks associated with mines and explosive devices (will be an advantage).

- Awareness of the Ukrainian media environment (digital and traditional media)
- Strong writing skills: experience writing materials for the general public, interested parties and online platforms (web resources, social networks, publications);
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Canva and other programs for project management;
- Self-confidence, excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural interaction skills

Contract:Term employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation).
