The organization "Man in Trouble" operates in Ukraine since the beginning of August 2014 and since then, humanitarian programs have been expanding rapidly. Currently, "Man in Need" is one of the main humanitarian organizations in Ukraine, which provides neutral and independent humanitarian assistance to people affected by the conflict.

General information about the employee role

Under the general direction of a lead emergency care professional and/or senior program specialist, the program specialist is responsible for timely and effective planning, implementation and monitoring of emergency response and early recovery activities in the response area, as well as archiving all assigned and received documents in the proper order. Responsible for effective and high-quality implementation of programs for economic support of the population and business development. The employee participates in the planning and development of newprojects and programs. Works closely with otherprogram specialists.< /span>

Duties and Responsibilities

Employee tasks are divided into general (those performed outside of specific projects or within all projects without exception) and specific tasks within specific projects.  

General tasks:

  1. Participates in working groups and meetings regarding the improvement of existing and development of new projects and activities. 

  2. Performs external representative functions within itsresponsibilities and pre-agreed actions with the manager.  

  3. Participates in weekly operational meetings of the Department, including reporting and work planning. 

  4.  Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead Emergency Specialist/Senior Program Specialist.

Specific tasks:

- Executes the plan implementation, approved by the manager. Notifies the supervisor of any circumstances or risks that may prevent the timely and proper execution of this plan. 
 
- Disseminates information about ongoing project activities appropriately. 
 
- In close coordination with other departments/colleagues, supports all activities related to CBI/youth work. 
 
- Together with relevant specialists, coordinates work with various partners and supports their activities when necessary. 
 
1) Prepares industry stakeholder maps.
 
2) Plans and organizes capacity building activities including all operational/procurement processes. 

Documentation, reporting

    Collects and submits all updates related to the project (daily/weekly/monthly ), including monitoring and evaluation reports on places, as well as from external meetings and relevant events; 

Organizes the process of archiving project documentation , as well as scanning and uploading to the ELO system; 

    Contributes to the preparation of quality reports/ plans/presentations of project results; 

    Performs other necessary and appropriate tasks and duties as assigned by the manager. 

External relations:

< p style="font-weight: nnormal; font-style: normal">As needed, present PIN to various stakeholders (international/non-governmental organizations, local institutions, government bodies, donors); Interact and coordinate with other international/non-governmental organizations, local authorities. Inform the project manager of any conflicts, duplications or gaps and suggest solutions.

Experience and qualifications required 

  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work well in a team.< /li>
  • Experience in case management, activities related to protection (individual and group consultations, monitoring, focus group discussion, facilitation).
  • Understanding humanitarian principles and practices.
  • Good communication and diplomatic skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Reporting and analysis skills.
  • English language - intermediate level.
