Proliska NGO announces a tender for the conclusion of an agreement on the provision of services for social support of the population affected by military operations (social facilitator).

Public organization "Proliska" is a non-commercial, non-political humanitarian organization that, since 2014, has been providing comprehensive assistance and protection to the population affected by the war in Ukraine. We currently work in 13 regions, providing psychosocial support, humanitarian aid, evacuation and social support.

The search for candidates is carried out on the territory of the Sumy region:

We are looking for a motivated specialist for the position of Social Facilitator who will strengthen our team in the direction of supporting the most vulnerable categories of the population (IDPs, elderly people, people with disabilities) and will contribute to their integration in public life.

I. Requirements for a competitor:

  • Interest, motivation and willingness to play the role of a social volunteer;
  • Proactivity and sociability, a sincere desire to help people in difficult life circumstances.
  • Ability to establish connections (networking), necessary experience and skills for effective interaction with state social workers, centers for the provision of social services, USZN, life sustainability centers and other institutions.
  • Understanding the social protection system of Ukraine and experience of interaction with state institutions (USZN, territorial centers, etc.).
  • Sufficient life experience, developed interpersonal skills, empathy and patience when communicating with IDPs and other victims of
  • High communication skills, including active listening, both when interacting with service recipients and when communicating with government partners.
  • Experience working with internally displaced persons, war victims, people with disabilities, the elderly, or other vulnerable groups would be an advantage.
  • Electronic communication skills (laptop, tablet, smartphone) to help people keep in touch with relatives or friends through calls, messengers. And also help in accessing services from state portals (DIA, PFU, etc.) will be an advantage.

II. Services to be provided:

  • Implementing social interaction, promoting the formation of self-help skills and the development of life resilience, maintaining independent living, in particular by providing basic social support, as well as ensuring social orientation, etc.and supporting the integration of IDPs in host communities.
  • Assisting in accessing administrative and social services, identifying social needs and making referrals to relevant social service providers;
  • Promoting the involvement of communities and their capacity to access services, as well as increasing the resilience of the local system of support for displaced persons, in particular through improving dialogue and social connections.
  • Assistance to social workers and case managers of "Snowflakes" in accompanying clients. Promotion of long-term support of communities through the development of local networks and social cohesion.
  • Providing basic assistance (active listening, empathy, PFA) to facilitate the adaptation of IDPs and returnees in a new environment.
  • Identifying unmet needs and assistance in obtaining services through USZN, Centers for the provision of social services, TsNAPy or other service providers in area.
  • Help people access public places for leisure, such as cultural centers, libraries, etc.
  • Promote social interaction and networking, in particular by getting people to participate in social events or interest groups organized in community centers or similar institutions, and also maintain a friendly atmosphere.
  • Help people master modern digital means of communication (video and phone calls, messengers, etc.) to maintain contact with relatives or friends from whom they are separated.

  • Part-time employment (40% of working time, which is equivalent to 16 hours per week.)
