Vacancy: Specialist in monitoring, assessment (MEAL)

We, the charitable foundation "Mirne Nebo Kharkov", are looking for a specialist in monitoring to join the team , Evaluation and Learning (MEAL), who will be responsible for the systematic collection, analysis and use of data to improve the quality and effectiveness of our humanitarian projects.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the development of monitoring plans in accordance with the request of donors and organizational request;
• Checks the implementation of the project at its various stages;
• Ensures the proper functioning of monitoring and evaluation systems in projects;
• Performs constant monitoring of project tasks and provides timely feedback and planning of project actions;
• Develops data collection tools and evaluation methods;
• Performs evaluation provision of services, conducts surveys of beneficiaries over the phone or in person;
• Performs visits to project locations for monitoring visits and surveys of focus groups or beneficiaries;
• Performs processing and analysis of received project data ;
• Analyzes the results of project evaluation and monitoring and provides proposals together with the project team regarding the necessary corrective actions to improve the project;
• Preparation of project reporting.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in social science, data management, mathematics, public policy, international development, economics, psychology, data science or related field fields;
• Experience: preferably at least 1 year of experience in a similar position. Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation or management with NGOs is an advantage;
• Report writing skills: Ability to write various types of reports (weekly, monthly, monitoring);
• Computer skills: Experienced user of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint;
• Language skills: Fluency in Ukrainian. Knowledge of the English language will be an advantage;
• Professional qualities: Commitment to the basic principles of humanitarian work, empathy for clients in difficult life situations, understanding of confidentiality;
• Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as in both written and oral;
• Organizational skills: Strong self-organization and teamwork skills. Stress resistance: Ability to work under stressful conditions and under tight deadlines;
• Knowledge of Ukrainian and English languages ​​(from B1).
