The Client and Staff Protection Capacity Building Specialist will work under the supervision of the Protection Manager. The capacity building specialist of the client and staff protection department will support measures to prevent and reduce risks introduced by the Ukrainian program. He/she will support, in particular, the capacity building efforts of all staff and affiliates, as well as IRC implementing partners.

The Client and Staff Advocacy Capacity Building Specialist is a central role that supports all activities that conducts IRC in Ukraine. The position will be located in one of the IRC offices (Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv or Odesa) depending on the selection of the successful candidate and will involve regular travel to the offices (minimum quarterly visit to each office).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

partner teams to jointly develop a development plan with security capacity building training programs.

• In close collaboration with Human Resources, Partnerships and Operations teams, coordinate and organize training logistics.

Design, implementation and monitoring

• Assist in the development and adaptation of training materials (presentations, handouts, etc.) and tools to facilitate the quality implementation of capacity building initiatives.

< p>• Provide training to IRC staff, affiliates and safeguarding partners.

• Manage the filing/documentation system (attendance charts and reports as required) of all Safeguarding capacity building initiatives.

• Measure learning progress by conducting pre- and post-evaluations of protection capacity initiatives.

• Support the implementation of partner project support plans, focusing on supporting partners to strengthen protection systems and capabilities that meet partner needs (rather than copying systems and IRC policies).

• Ensure that all training and capacity building activities are conducted in accordance with IRC policies and procedures.

Support community-based conservation activities< /strong>

• Support the development, updating, and distribution of contextualized diversity awareness materials to be used by client-facing teams when interacting with affected populations.

• Support the creation of guidance documents and key messages, and build the capacity of client teams to incorporate the protection of key messages into existing community engagement activities.

• Support the implementation of the feedback mechanism SOP and of protection in Ukraine.

• Work closely with community-based safeguarding networks to increase collective awareness of safeguarding issues and appropriate reporting pathways.

• Collect direct feedback from clients through proactive channels and analyze trends.

• Conduct field visits to support client-facing teams in raising awareness of security issues at the community level.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

Education and experience

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in law, social or political science or other relevant field of activity.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.< /p>

• Highly developed analytical and communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and representational skills and the ability to adapt to different classrooms.

• Good command of English is an advantage.

• Ability to be flexible, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple tasks with attention to detail.
