Role Overview

Participate in Sales Engineering and be responsible for designing and selling technical solutions for new and existing clients to address their business, product and technical needs and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in technical discovery to understand client needs during pre-sales.
  • Create and present solutions proposal presentations, including Software Architecture Design (SAD), tech design documents, and project estimations.
  • Provide technical consulting to customers and offer solutions based on business requirements.
  • Design detailed technical solutions, conduct in-depth research on potential clients, and audit existing solutions.
  • Analyze client situations for upselling opportunities and formulate proposals for technological improvements.
  • Act as a temporary Tech Lead for trial projects.
  • Develop and lead the development of cutting-edge Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and present their value to clients.
  • Mentor technical experts, software engineers, and junior developers in PoC development.
  • Conduct Knowledge Sharing Workshops, Architect Hours, and Technology Workshops internally for team members and externally for clients.
  • Package expertise into Use Cases and Case Studies and contribute to marketing initiatives to build a strong corporate brand.
  • Perform tech interviews for new projects/teams, contribute to improving corporate tech interview standards, and focus on continuous professional development.

Required Skills

  • Tech leadership: 3+ years as Lead Engineer or Tech/Team Lead
  • Sales Engineering: 1+ year in an enterprise-level environment pre-sales as a Solutions Architect.
  • Enterprise: Java EE (Spring, Hibernate), .NET/C# or Python.
  • Data (at least some): PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Kafka, Amazon RDS / Aurora, Hevo, BigQuery, Looker, Cassandra.
  • Cloud: AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, API Gateway), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket, Terraform, CI/CD & DevOps best practices.
  • Architecture design: from scratch, re-engineering, microservices, APIs.
  • Data Engineering: data-rich and data-driven solutions, ETL/ELT, big data, large-scale data processing, data analytics, real-time data processing, BI & reporting, SQL/NoSQL databases, data warehouses, data lakes, data orchestration, data science & AI-related solutions (MLOps, NLP, LLM, Neural networks).
  • Cloud-native solutions: SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, architecture development lifecycle, proficiency in leveraging cloud services for architecture and development.
  • Fintech & financial services solutions (at least one): payments, banking, wealth management, lending & credit, financing & fundraising, capital markets, trading, insurance, cybersecurity, financial data engineering, accounting & financial management, compliance/regulations/risks
  • Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in presenting concepts and proposals.
  • Active listening, analyzing information, effectively relaying key insights.
  • Capacity to process information and transmit it coherently.
  • Continuous learner, professional development, knowledge sharing.
