Solution Architect in Scrambly

Summary: 
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Solution Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone with a business-oriented mindset and a strong background in software development, architecture design, and implementation. Your main responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable architectures, consulting with developers, review pull requests, introducing best practices, and improving our development processes to ensure the scalability of our infrastructure.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a CTO or senior technical leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing scalable architectures.
- Ability to assess and improve development processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to design and implement scalable and robust architectures for our products.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Introduce and advocate for best practices in software development, including Clean Code, Pragmatic Programming, and SOLID principles.
- Improve and optimize existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on system design and integration with external systems.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of our infrastructure, including cloud platforms (e.g. GCP preferred, AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes.
- Maintain and design relational and NoSQL databases.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and architecture design.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor developers.
- Proficiency in system design and architecture.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP preferred, AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of OOP and SOLID development principles, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployment.
- Ability to assess technical solutions from both technical and business perspectives, ensuring that proposed decisions align with business goals and provide optimal value.
