Software Engineer - Senior (Java, AWS) in Intent Solutions Group

Our Client provides one of the world’s leading online video platforms, which gives a huge range of possibilities — for streaming, online presentations, live conferences, events, tutorials and trainings. The platform uses the most innovative and leading-edge browser-based video capture technologies to support Live Streaming of events that can support 1000’s of simultaneous viewers. Many of the same video pipeline technologies are used by organizations such as Amazon Video and Netflix. This platform encodes and streams millions of minutes of video presentations per year.
 

Responsibilities:
 - Primary focus will be back-end service development but should un -derstand full-stack development and be able to complete tasks up and down the application technology stack if needed;
- Write and manage existing queries to database, participate in database design when needed;
 - Can complete more complex architecture and application design related activities;
 - Successfully mentor more junior team members to keep up with changing technical and business environments and deliver software that continues to improve our clients' operation;
 - Solving complex client challenges by using demonstrated proficiency in software development, tools, processes, and procedures;
 - Handling tasks of high-complexity and contributing in all phases of software development from envisioning through support.
 

Requirements:

 - Progressive experience with Back-End development(Java);
 - Advanced experience with modern back-end development tools and methodologies to facilitate OOP, Functional Programming, SPA, etc.
 - Good knowledge building SaaS applications with PaaS and IaaS services leveraging modern cloud-based computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud;
 - Good knowledge with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) frameworks, tools, and implementations including automated QA tools and frameworks;
- Intermediate English and can communicate effectively with US based Product Manager(s).
 

Nice to have:
 - Experience in a technology leadership role;
 - Proficient with modern Java and Spring Framework;
 - Ability to work on Full-Stack Development tasks;
 - Experience with digital media frameworks such as AWS Elemental Live, AWS Elemental MediaConvert, FFMPEG, Brightcove, Encoding.com;
 - Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Cognito, SNS, Amplify, and S3;
 - Good understanding of the Scrum framework
