Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven SMM & SEO Specialist to develop and implement effective social media and search engine optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social media marketing, SEO best practices, a proven track record of successful digital campaigns, and the ability to stay ahead of industry trends. This role involves significant collaboration with our content, web development, and marketing teams to ensure our online presence achieves the highest possible visibility and engagement, with a primary focus on social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management :
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase inbound leads, brand awareness, engagement, and traffic.
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media profiles and presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and others.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for social media channels, including text posts, images, videos, and infographics.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications and apply knowledge to improve the company’s social media presence.
- Content Strategy and Creation :
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with our social media and SEO goals.
- Collaborate with content creators to produce high-quality, engaging content, including blogs, articles, case studies, white papers, and social media posts.
- Focus on content creation, ensuring a constant presence throughout the company to capture and create engaging content.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and build relationships with the online community.
- Foster a positive and interactive brand image through active engagement and communication.
- Recognize and appreciate active community members, fostering loyalty and encouraging continued participation.
- Social Media Advertising :
- Plan, execute, and manage paid social media campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions.
- Optimize ad performance through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and budget management.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools.
- Track and report on key social media metrics, such as engagement, reach, impressions, and conversion rates.
- Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor sales generated through social media marketing (SMM) and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for integrating SEO best practices into social media content.
- Optimize social media profiles and posts for search engines to enhance visibility and discoverability.
- Assist with website content optimization, meta tags, headings, and URLs for targeted keywords.
- Proactively identify and mitigate any potential reputation issues or crises on social media.
- Handle customer interactions and manage the online community effectively.
- Maintain and safeguard brand voice and a unified messaging strategy across online networks.
- Develop and execute a link-building strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks through social media activities.
- Build relationships with industry influencers, bloggers, and webmasters for link opportunities.
- Local SEO & Social Media :
- Optimize the company’s online presence for local search, including managing Google My Business listings and local citations.
- Develop localized social media content and strategies to engage with the community.
- Collaboration and Communication :
- Work closely with web developers, designers, and content teams to ensure social media and SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of the website and social media content.
- Communicate social media and SEO strategies and results to management and other stakeholders.
- Develop relationships with key department and third-party stakeholders to maximize brand awareness.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance social media and SEO performance.
- Experiment with new social media and SEO techniques and tools to stay ahead of the competition.
- Research and recommend social media tools as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 3+ years as a Social Media Manager, SEO Specialist, or similar role, preferably in the IT services industry. Understanding Software Industry: Relevant experience in software or related fields will be an advantage
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience managing social media accounts and campaigns and achieving measurable results.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (blogs, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and their best practices, tools, and analytics.
- Content Creation: Ability to create engaging content,including text, images, and videos.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in using social media analytics tools to measure the performance of campaigns and inform future strategies. The ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking factors, optimization, and link building and how it integrates with social media efforts.
- Paid Advertising: Experience with social media advertising platforms and tools (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush).
- AI: Broad use of AI for everything above. Technical Proficiency:
- Video Editing: Basic video editing skills to create short-form video content.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Creativity: Innovative thinking to develop unique social media campaigns and strategies.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
- Customer Service: Skills to handle customer interactions and manage the online community effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Passion for community building, IT services, and driving positive change through engaged communities.
