We hire ambitious and dedicated professionals to fill positions at all levels of our organization.Job Description SummaryShirley Contracting Company, LLC is accepting applications for Skilled Laborers to join our team.QualificationsJob DescriptionWork in outdoor environments in all seasonsBe comfortable working alongside heavy equipment and able to communicate with operators, workers and pedestriansBe comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces with safety equipment and trainingModerate to heavy lifting (more than 15 pounds), pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing and squatting on a regular basisWorking knowledge of hand and power toolsMust pass pre-employment physical/drug screeningResponsibilitiesPerform flagging, traffic closures and relevant tasks as assignedClean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materialsInstallation of erosion and sediment controls (i.e. silt fence, super silt fence, gutter buddies, etc.)Must be willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projectsMust wear safety toe boots, long pants and four-inch sleeves on shirts.
