Service engineer for web scraping product in Aspen Tech Labs

Position Type: Full-time, Remote

This role involves support/creation of web scraping configurations, that are running on our engine and are based on regular expressions. You will work with server logs, HTTP requests, regexp tools, spreadsheets, and big structured and unstructured files. This role combines tech duties and project coordination duties in the future. Skills to succeed in this role are:

1. HARD SKILLS

• General knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, FTP, SFTP, XML, JSON, CSV, APIs.

• Regular expressions.

• Experience with web scraping tools and frameworks, such as Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, etc

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Spreadsheets.

• Optional: XSLT templates, Velocity templates.

2. SOFT SKILLS:

• Proactivity and responsibility, attention to detail.

• Ability to create the work process

• Experience in team coordination

• Ability to work not only according to instructions but to create them for yourself

• English language - Intermediate (read and write without vocabulary)

3. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting up new crawling robots using our own system, based on regular expressions

• Monitoring and improvement of existing crawling robots

• Making sure data is collected and provided correctly

• Communicating with clients via tickets

• Communication with team

• Solving not typical working issues

4. WORK SCHEDULE

• Work remotely from home

• Full time

• Target work schedule is 10:00-19:00 (GMT+2), flexible schedule allowed
