We focus on the needs of students of color and those who have historically been at the margins because when we do that, all students benefit.Role SummaryReporting to the President, Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth, CORE Learning will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, shaping program design, and fostering impactful client relationships. This executive-level leadership position demands expertise in marketing, product development, and business development, as well as the ability to cultivate strong connections with C-suite leaders in school districts.The Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth will lead the process to develop a cross-functional roadmap that informs program, sales, marketing, technology and operations. They will develop and implement a multi-year relationship development approach with key district partners to identify opportunities to improve student outcomes and obtain revenue. They will also be responsible for leading the Business Development and Sales Enablement functions for CORE.Essential ResponsibilitiesEssential responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Strategic Leadership and Product DevelopmentLead the development of a comprehensive, multi-year strategy aligned with the organization’s overall vision and growth objectives to cross-sell and up-sell services across our brandsDrive the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to inform the development of new solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including programs, impact, sales, marketing and finance to bring new products and features to market effectivelyMonitor education policies, industry trends, funding opportunities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiationBusiness Development and Partnerships:Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities that align with the organization's program and business objectivesDevelop and maintain relationships with C-suite leaders in key accounts and other strategic alliancesNegotiate partnership agreements, licensing deals, and other business arrangements to drive revenue growth and market expansionWork closely with legal and finance teams to ensure partnership agreements are structured effectively and compliant with regulatory requirementsMarket Analysis and Opportunity Identification:Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new market opportunities and target segmentsEvaluate market trends, customer feedback, and industry insights to inform program and business development strategiesDevelop business cases and financial models to assess the viability and potential impact of new program initiatives and partnership opportunitiesTeam Leadership and Collaboration:Build and lead a high-performing team of business development professionals and other stakeholdersProvide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovationCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to align program and business development activities with overall company goalsPerformance Measurement and Optimization:Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of product and business development initiativesUtilize data analytics and insights to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and optimize strategies for maximum impactPresent regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the performance and impact of program and business development effortsRequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree or above preferredMinimum of ten (10) years of sales leadership experience, preferably in the K-12 business space including but not limited to:Team development and management Leading essential business development and sales functions Successful partnership development, strategic planning and revenue generation Selling services into K-12 professional learning marketPossess an existing network of leaders within the K-12 SEA and LEA space in California Ability to analyze data and market trends to identify potential partnership opportunities and their potential impact on the organizationProficient use of Microsoft Office, Google-based applications, and online collaboration tools such as SlackProficient use of Customer RelationsTHE STRONGEST CANDIDATES WILL HAVE/BE:Commitment to UnboundEd’s organizational valuesLearning orientation and commitment toward diversity, equity, and inclusionKnowledge of urban school environmentsAbility to work independently and effectively in a virtual, remote environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and partners across geographies and time zonesExcellent presentation skillsExcellent communication skills and the confidence to speak effectively with a range of education leaders as you introduce, demonstrate, and solve some of the key issues in schools and districtsDemonstrate the ability to identify and capitalize on partnership opportunities aligned with an organization’s vision and goals Strong understanding of sales development best practices and pipeline building processEffectively articulate an in depth understanding of customer needsHumility and empathy for the challenges our prospects face dailyWillingness to work alongside a dynamic, highly collaborative, and vision-driven teamEntrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environmentBenefitsUnboundEd offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution and no vesting period or salary cap.
