Senior System Engineer in ABCloudz

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior System Administrator to maintain and develop our internal production infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring that our infrastructure remains resilient and efficient and possess the skills and vision necessary to automate, optimize, and reduce costs associated with our infrastructure.Requirements:-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, -Information Systems or related field; Master’s preferred;-Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Proxmox virtualization environments, including expertise in live migration, high-availability configurations, and clustering setups;-At least 5 years of experience in network management, specifically with Mikrotik routers and switches, including a strong understanding of DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, routing, switching, NAT, and bonding;-Solid background in both Windows and Linux system administration;-Proficiency in managing Active Directory and scripting with Bash and PowerShell;-Experience with Linstor or similar storage solutions and thorough understanding of backup and restoration strategies for complex environments;-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.Responsibilities:-Maintain and develop the internal production infrastructure;-Implement strategies to ensure infrastructure resiliency and cost efficiency;-Automate and optimize infrastructure processes;-Design and maintain a robust, secure, and scalable Proxmox virtualization environment;-Implement and manage Mikrotik network configurations ensuring efficient routing, switching, and network services;-Develop and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems;-Automate repetitive system administration tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, or Puppet;-Participate in the design and execution of backup and restoration procedures;-Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead resolution efforts;-Maintain documentation for system architectures, configurations, procedures, and service records;-Contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT operations by staying informed of new technologies and best practices.Will be a plus:-Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet;-Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker;-Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions like Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, and Prometheus;-Experience with VPN solutions like SoftEther.We offer:-Working with the industry-leading partners and customers;-Friendly teams, experienced colleagues, and perfect work equipment;-Opportunities for career growth and raising professional skills;-Comfortable offices in the city center of Kharkiv/Kyiv;-English language courses;-Decent salary, tax assistance.
