MAIN TASK
< p>Specialist in project and program management in the field of non-material production (protection of the civilian population in armed conflicts) will be engaged in response, as part of activities to reduce armed violence and humanitarian demining.
HI is expanding Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Conflict and Protection Preparedness (CPP) activities in transit and collective centers for internally displaced persons (IDPs) returning to permanent places of residence, for affected communities and in the territories returned to the control of the government of Ukraine. In addition, HI will conduct EORE and CPP briefings for humanitarian organizations, including first responders and volunteers.
Explosive Ordnance Risk Education and Armed Conflict Preparedness and Protection aims to reduce risk injury and damage from explosive devices by raising the level of education and awareness of women, girls, boys and men, according to their vulnerabilities, roles and needs, as well as promoting behavior change.
The main activities include disseminating information about safe behavior, organization of education and conducting trainings.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Task 1. Interaction with interested parties:
- Assist the head of the mine action team in collecting contact information of local authorities, leaders and other responsible parties in their area of activity.
- Establish contacts with relevant persons to organize classes/sessions/trainings on risk education related to Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EORE), and Armed Conflict and Defense Training (CPP).
- Assist the team leader in identifying potential networks, groups and individuals to be trained as contact persons in community on EORE/CPP
- Assist the team leader in liaising with humanitarian organizations including first responders and volunteers for EORE/CPP training.
< strong>Target 2.Disseminate messages on EOD risk education and conflict preparedness and protection
- Organize sessions with EORE and CPP, both online and and face to face,
- Together withfinformation providers to conduct one-on-one sessions with EORE/CPP for at-risk groups to motivate people to adopt safer behaviors in relation to the threat of explosive devices and weapons attacks
- Ensure the adaptation of trainings and distribution materials from EORE and CPP in accordance with the identified needs of target population groups and instructions from the head of projects and programs and the manager (manager).
- Join the development of materials from EORE and CPP
- Ensure compliance with HI operating procedure standards.
Task 3. Monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance:
- Conduct before and after tests for training participants in accordance with operational standards procedures
- Collect and archive data on EORE and CPP trainings conducted using the right tools (e.g. SurveyCTO, participant count lists, etc.)
- Provide recommendations on needs to improve activities EORE and CPP in their area of responsibility, as well as direct feedback from beneficiaries to the manager (manager) and head of projects and programs.
Task 4. Planning and organization:
- Assist the team leader in coordinating the deployment of activities in the area.
< li>Delegate tasks to team members and supervise the daily execution of tasks by the team- Responsible for logistical (vehicles, organization of events, provision of material supplies, etc.) and administrative planning (certificates, travel applications, etc.) of daily activities
- Assist the team leader in weekly planning of team activities
- Assist the team leader in training project personnel
Task 5. Contribute to the implementation of the mission of HI in Ukraine:
- In cooperation with other internal departments of HI, participate in the redirection of the affected population both internally and externally
- 2. Participate in relevant program meetings (general program meeting, base general meeting, EORE team meeting and budget monitoring)
- Contribute to the development of EORE-related projects
RESPONSIBILITIES

< strong>NECESSARY COMPETENCES
Qualification:
- Junior specialist/bachelor degree in the field of education, civil protection, social work, humanitarian assistance, development, or a similar field.
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Beginning in the field of presentations/trainings/pedagogy for adults and children's pedagogy

Experience:- At least 2 years of experience working with conflict-affected communities.
- Experience in organizing and conducting presentations and trainings, preferably on topics risk education and safe behavior in conflict and emergency situations
- Experience in engaging citizens
- Experience in local/international non-governmental organizations
< strong>Skills:
- Excellent oral and written knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian languages (level C2).
- Fluency: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook .
- Proficiency in English at B2 level

GENERAL MISSION
Explosive Ordnance Risk Education Agent Team leader will cover the response dedicated to Armed Violence Reduction and Humanitarian Mine Action. HI intends to implement Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Conflict Preparedness and Protection (CPP) at transit and collective centers for displaced and potential returnees, affected communities and NAA. In addition, HI provides Explosive Ordnance and CPP Safety Briefings for humanitarian actors, including first responders and volunteers. EORE refers to activities that seek to reduce the risk of injury from EO by raising awareness of women, girls, boys and men in accordance with their different vulnerabilities, roles and needs, and promoting behavioral change.
Core activities include public information disseminationof safe behaviour, organization and holding of education and training.
MISSIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission 1. Liaising with external stakeholders:
- Support the EORE Project Supervisor to collect contact details of local authorities, leaders and other parties in their area of operations
- Makes contact with relevant individuals to organize EORE/CPP sessions.
- Supports the EORE Project Supervisor to identify potential networks, groups and individuals to be trained as community focal points,
- Supports the EORE Project Supervisor to liaise with humanitarian actors, including first responders and volunteers, for delivery of EORE/CPP sessions.
Mission 2. Dissemination of EORE and CPP messages:
- Organizes EORE and CPP sessions, including in-person and online sessions and training of trainers
- Together with EORE Agents, delivers tailored EORE/CPP sessions to at-risk groups to motivate safer behavior towards the threat of EO and armed attacks
- Ensures that session and material delivery are adapted according to the needs of the target population and instructions from the EORE PM or Supervisor
- Contributes to the development of EORE and CPP materials
- Ensures adherence to HI SOPs
Mission 3. Monitoring and evaluation:
- Conducts pre and post tests of training participants according to SOPs
- Collects and archives data on EORE/CPP sessions using correct tools (e.g. SurveyCTO, headcount worksheets)
- Provides recommendations to improve EORE/CPP activities under area of responsibility, and channels feedback from beneficiaries to the EORE Supervisor and PM

- Supports the EORE Project Supervisor to coordinate field deployments

Mission 5. Contribute to HI’s missions in Ukraine:
- In collaboration with other HI internal departments, participates in the referrals’ pathway of affecter population both internally and externally
- Participates in relevant Program meetings (general program meeting, general site meeting, EORE team meeting and budget monitoring)
- Contributes to the development of projects related to EORE.
PROFILE SOUGHT
Qualification(s):
- Associate`s/Bachelor's degree in education, civil protection, social work, humanitarian aid, development, or a similar field.
- Master’s degree in the same field is desirable;
- Training in presentation/ training/ adult and children pedagogy.
Experience :
- Experience in conducting presentations and trainings, preferably on the topics of risk education and safe behavior in conflict conditions and another emergencies
- At least 2 years’ experience, ideally working with conflict-affected communities;
- Experience in community engagement.
- Work experience in local/international NGOs.
