ABOUT THE POSITION
The ICRC is looking for a competent Senior Medical Specialist to join the team in Kharkiv.This role contributes to the implementation, implementation and monitoring of general health measures, as well as first aid and pre-hospital care in collaboration with medical teams, in accordance with the objectives defined during the annual delegation planning for a specific geographic area or area of activity.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Conduct assessments and regular field visits for monitoring activities related to threats in the field of first aid care and pre-hospital emergency care affecting the population.
- Support the assessment, preparation, coordination and delivery of trainings and seminars on first aid and pre-hospital emergency care for key groups based on training materials and ICRC guidelines.
- Provide preparation and translation support during workshops, trainings and training sessions.
- Participate in the creation and regular updating of the map medical facilities in the area of its operations and maintain an up-to-date list of contacts.
- Analyze statistical information, identify trends and provide recommendations on how the ICRC can more effectively assist those injured as a result of the use of weapons.
- Implement and support the maintenance of various medical databases, records and registers to monitor programs related to hospital activities.
- Maintain regular contact, carry out visits, assess needs and provide support to primary care facilities covered by the program.
- Actively participate in the development of the primary care strategy in Ukraine in line with the planned health strategy and delegation-level response.
- Contribute to translation for mobile staff, ensure communication with authorities and follow up correspondence (including transfer certificates, requests and others).
- Prepare and distribute medical supplies in health care facilities in your area of responsibility in accordance with operational priorities and in compliance with ICRC logistical procedures.salary: from 61,000 to 94,000 UAH (before tax) per month

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship of Ukraine or permanent residence permit
- Diploma in medicine or nursing (with specialization in emergency medicine) or in the field of paramedicine / paramedic practices.
- First aid trainer qualification.
- Additional training in a relevant field (e.g., advanced first aid, emergency medicine, public health) is a significant advantage.
- At least three years of experience in first aid training/education and/or support of first aid programs.
- Technical training experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Ukrainian languages.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office package.
