With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.About the role:As a Senior Spark/Scala Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow who is working with a leading enterprise AI SaaS company for digital transformation across the most critical and resilient growth industries, including retail, consumer packaged goods, financial crime prevention, manufacturing, media, and IT service management. Since its founding in 2017, our client serves 1500+ Enterprise customers globally and has grown to 2,500 talented leaders, data scientists, and other professionals across over 20 countries.Responsibilities:Learn the Financial Services Fraud and Compliance domains and gain a deep understanding of the problems that Financial Institutions across the globe need solvingDesign and implement features in client’s Scenario Manager to our high-quality standardsActively participate in technical design workshops and produce technical specification documents as requestedAssume development responsibility for developing, debugging and unit testing of product features in accordance with internal procedures and standardsDiagnose and solve functional and performance/scalability issuesDevelop functionality that meets the teams DoD or/and collaborate with the team to resolve open product issuesSupport the Financial Services Delivery teams in using SMBD to deliver benefits to clientsJoin and contribute to our professional communitiesRequirements:5+ years commercial experience in large-scale enterprise solutionsProven track record of technical design and development as part of a teamProgramming Languages – Scala (at least 2+ years of experience)Experience with Apache SparkProven track record of technical design and development as part of a teamDesirable:Testing frameworks – ScalaTestDatabase and SQL development experienceDatabases – PostgresAgile development methodologiesTools – sbtBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalentApache KafkaAWS, AzureExperience in KubernetesWhat's in it for you?Care: your mental and physical health is our priority.
