Project Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Research & Analytics IT Production Management Support team in the Middle East. The ideal candidate should possess a technical background with 5-7 years of experience in production support and be ITIL certified. A solid understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes is essential. In this role, the successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production environment, leveraging both their technical and non-technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively maintain the stability of the production environment by effectively managing incidents, problems, and changes.
- Promptly identify and resolve incidents and issues by applying exceptional problem-solving skills to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Continuously enhance existing processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Work seamlessly within an agile environment, contributing to product and solution delivery for our esteemed business users, and actively participate in sprints and CI/CD practices.
- Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and end users to foster collaboration.
- Uphold knowledge management practices to facilitate knowledge capture and sharing.
Mandatory Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in production support, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex environments.
- ITIL certification showcasing knowledge and expertise in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Familiarity with financial markets, related data, and applications, providing a contextual understanding of the industry.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, providing a solid foundation for understanding complex technical concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards incident resolution and issue identification.
- Technical background with a profound understanding of ETL/ELT processes for data transformation.
- Proficiency in utilizing PySpark for distributed data processing and analytics.
- Advanced expertise in SQL for proficient querying and manipulation of data, guaranteeing accurate and reliable results.
- Fundamental proficiency in Python for debugging data transformation issues and scripting automation.
- Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs, enabling seamless integration between internal and external systems.
- Proven experience managing SaaS platforms and interactions between SaaS and IaaS.
- Expertise in relevant areas such as data management, data engineering, or financial systems.
- Hands-on experience managing big data platforms like Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
- Proficiency in managing batch scheduling tools such as Control-M, ActiveBatch, and Autosys.
- Expertise in workflow automation applications and tools such as KNIME Analytics, Power Automate, Alteryx, and Informatica.
- Experience in managing BI platforms like MicroStrategy, Power BI, QlikView, and Tableau.
- Strong background in working within agile environments, participating in sprints, and adhering to CI/CD practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration and conveyance of ideas and solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Certification in Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps, showcasing proficiency in cloud technologies.
