Senior Software Engineer (Education; Ireland) in InventorSoft

We are looking for an experienced Node.js developer (4+ years) for an Irish educational project. English — Upper-intermediate. Basic requirements: — 4+ years of commercial development experience; — Excellent knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript; — Experience with relational and relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB); — Technical education; — English level — Upper-intermediate; — Personal qualities: independence, discipline, sociability, leadership. It will be a plus: —Knowledge/experience of working with PHP, Angular;—Experience with Websockets, cloud services, Bash/Shell;—Knowledge of TDD;—Experience of working as a Team Lead. About the project: Country: Ireland. Project: the company is engaged in the development of software for evaluating students of medical educational institutions. The platform enables teachers to organize and conduct assessments of various types (tests, interviews). During the pandemic, video functionality for remote learning and assessment was added to the functionality. Team: 1 front-end and 3 back-end developers. Responsibilities on the project: —Software development;—Assisting in the distribution of tasks between developers;—Development evaluation and planning;—Using TDD and E2E principles, product testing;—Ensuring clean code, using SOLID principles;—Helping the team solve complex technical problems;—Mentoring ;—PRcode review;—Identification of code deficiencies, work with its improvement, refactoring, making architectural decisions;—Participation in R&D processes together with CSA (Chief Software Architect). Organization of work processes:—Work schedule: flexible, but it is necessary to participate in all stand-ups;—Conducting meetings: daily, Scrum meetings. Interview stages:—HR interview (30-40 min);—Technical interview (1-1.5 h); - Getting to know the client (~30 min). Other: - Interviews in Ukrainian and English.
