Senior Software Engineer Opportunity in the Precious Metals Industry

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join an exciting project with our Switzerland-based client in the precious metals industry.

Position Details:

• Location: Fully remote with occasional on-site meetings throughout the year in Switzerland 
• Duration: 12+ months with the potential for extension

Required skills:

• Experience with designing and developing backend applications using Java 8+ or another JVM language (preferably Kotlin) is expected. 
• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related field 
• Proficient in structuring and developing RESTful APIs 
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, SQL, Gradle 
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, IPC/RPC and serialization frameworks, web services and network protocols
• Proficient in spoken and written English 

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of DLT/blockchain and specifically R3 Corda is a plus 
• Non JVM experience like Go, Rust, or functional languages is a plus 
• Understanding of frontend development in React, TypeScript, etc. is a plus 
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, build/deployment-automation, Gitlab pipelines, Linux and Docker
