Senior Server Support Specialist in Nordea Bank ABP

About this opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Server Support Specialist in Warsaw to improve server support. You will get the chance to work in a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants to drive Nordea servers support. In this position you will be collaborating closely with Server Engineering (governance, security, architecture & design) team running projects & defining infrastructure’s future and the external company doing most of daily support operation work from India. You will focus on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, resource optimization (people's work, servers, licenses, etc.), improving support for other teams doing IT operation and development. The team will work in hybrid mode, at least 2 days per week from the office.

Desirable experience and skills,  you don't have to have them all , to be a good candidate:

• Experience in managing at least a few hundreds of Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX servers, 
• Experience in managing a big installations of Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop, VMware, management and monitoring tools for the above technologies, 
• Skilled at daily servers management (diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents and quickly restoring services, delivering technical consultation to other units, etc.), 
• Skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating and ensuring following of standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with policies from Engineering and Cybersecurity, patching, upgrading, hardening, monitoring, etc.), 
• Having proficiency in English, spoken and written B2, 
• Experienced with working for a financial institution.
