Senior Rust Developer (Military Service) in 412 okrema brigada bezpilotnih sistem Nemesis Sil Bezpilotnih Sistem

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years in backend, of which 3+ years in production-Rust or 2+ years in dense production and strong portfolio.
• Language/asynchrony: Rust, ownership/borrowing, lifetimes; async/await, Tokio, futures, channel(s), synchronization, backpressure.
• Web stack: one of Axum/Actix + Tower; solid understanding of HTTP/2, gRPC, TLS.
• Data: PostgreSQL (SQL, indexes, execution plans, transactions/isolation, locking), migrations; ORM/client (sqlx/SeaORM/SeaQuery).
• Messages/streams: Kafka/NATS/RabbitMQ at the level of production practices (identity, exactly-once/at-least-once, partitioning).
• Contracts: OpenAPI/Protobuf, interoperability and migrations, client/server generation.
• Testing: unit/integration, property-based (proptest), contract tests, testcontainers; focus on determinism and speed.
• Observability: tracing (structured logs), metrics, profiling, local and production debug.
• Security: authN/authZ, secrets (Vault or similar), secure configs; basic understanding of crypto primitives.
• DevOps/Release: Docker, OCI-images, multi-stage builds; CI/CD (GitLab CI/GA); basic understanding of orchestration (K8s or Nomad).
• Code quality: rustfmt, clippy, conventional commits/semantic-release (or similar), code review best practices.
• English: B2+ (reading/writing technical documentation, participating in calls).

Will preferred:

• TypeScript/Node.js: experience with NestJS/Express/Fastify; type-safe contracts (zod / @effect/schema / tRPC), Jest/Vitest, Playwright.
• Front-end integrations: understanding customer needs (React/Angular) from an API/performance/versioning perspective.
• Streaming/CDC: Debezium, schemas (Avro/JSON-SR), schema evolution, exactly-once in communication with Postgres/Kafka.
• Infrastructure: Terraform, Helm or Nomad job specs; end-to-end observability (trace-propagation).
• Security: experience with RBAC/ABAC, policy-as-code (OPA), audit logging.
