1 positionSENIOR RUBY ENGINEER (WITH KUBERNETES)locationAny city, UkraineSvitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Ruby Engineer (with Kubernetes) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. The project's primary goal is to support migration from ECS to EKS AWS services and fix bugs that arise in this case.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) or equivalent experience.Minimum 6+ years of experience in software development.Strong knowledge of Ruby.Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native application development.Expertise in providing estimates and implementing complex systems.Proven understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.Knowledge of Git.Experience in deployment based on AWS and Kubernetes.Experience working in an agile environment that follows Scrum or other agile methodologies.Demonstrated knowledge of scalability, high availability, and concurrency.A self-motivated go-getter with a passion for learning and strong communication skills.A good team player who works and communicates well with others.Will Be a PlusKnowledge of some languages such as Java, Ruby, or C++.Experience with high-throughput message queueing systems (Resque/SQS, etc.).ResponsibilitiesPerform as a hands-on contributor, a key responsibility in this role.Develop and scale the platform systems and servicesContribute to a critical technology project to migrate an extensive Rails application or microservices into Kubernetes.Migrate applications and services to the new APM solution.Participate in code reviews and demos.Advocate best practices (unit/automation testing, code reviews, code quality, etc.).We OfferUS and EU projects based on advanced technologies.Competitive compensation based on skills and experience.Annual performance appraisals.Flexibility in workspace, either remote or in one of our development offices.
