Senior Python Backend Engineer/Data Scientist in Ralabs

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer/Data Scientist to join a Fintech-related project.

The Client is from the USA. The project supports Finance and tax-related business logic and is successful in the US market. 

The project idea?

It would aim to implement AI/ML into its R&D product to optimize the manual work behind it. Based on the historical and other provided input data, this new product will highlight the best options for SA clients on their eligibility for R&D Tax credit.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a mature engineer with hands-on experience in AI/ML/LLM, a strong Python background, and the ability to manage multiple services and design integration and REST APIs. Expertise in LLM prompt development is a must.

What is the team size and structure?

A team consists of a CTO and a PO, so you can expect a lot of close communication with a client. We have a mutual stand-up with other internal developers from sub-projects (+4 person) and the Project Manager.

On a project, we have a PM, Senior Elixir Engineers, Senior Front end, and Middle PHP/SQL from our side.

Working hours?

We have stand-up every day at 6 pm and once per week planning on Friday at 7 pm (UA time)

How many stages of the interview are there?

- Interview with the Recruiter - up to 30 min.;

- Technical interview - up to 1 h;

- Interview with the client in English - up to 1 h.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of working experience using Python;
• Proficiency in Flask or FastAPI;
• Familiarity with Azure services (Cognitive Services, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, SQL Database);
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases;
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker;
• Secure API development and third-party service integration;
• Unit and integration testing, performance optimization;
• Proficiency in TensorFlow or PyTorch;
• Knowledge of NLP techniques and libraries;
• Experience in data extraction, preprocessing, and ETL processes;
• Deploying models on Azure, using Azure ML;
• Building, training, and deploying AI/ML models;
• Skills in data analysis and visualization (pandas, matplotlib);
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities:

• Communication with the client about requirements (gathering, clarification, resolving blockers);
• Direct communication with the development team and customers;
• Participation in sprint planning and task evaluation;
• Provide technical leadership;
• Ensuring optimal performance.
