Grant program "Restoring population access to medical care"Reconnecting People to Care,(hereafter RPC Program) is aimed at strengthening the capacity of local health care systems to restore service delivery and meet the needs of communities in medical services. The program envisages the implementation of targeted measures to meet the identified needs of communities, as well as measures (RPC Resource Hub) > on strengthening the capacity of the health care system using the best international experience and knowledge.

The project "Primary medical care" is aimed at improving the health care system of the Zaporizhzhia region by improving services and meeting the needs of the population in sphere of health care. This will facilitate the scale-up of successful health recovery interventions through the RPC Resource Hub, sharing best practices to promote sector recovery health care and long-term stability. This will involve an increase in the number of primary care facilities that receive support under the grant program, to expand the provision of services and to expand specialized primary care facilities in selected communities of the Zaporizhia region to restore services.

The International Charitable Foundation "Public Health Alliance" is a leading public non-profit professional organization that, in cooperation with state partners and civil society organizations exerts a significant influence on overcoming epidemics of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other socially dangerous diseases in Ukraine, by providing financial and technical support to relevant programs that cover more than 300,000 representatives of the most vulnerable segments of the population, which are the highest indicator in Europe. Currently, the Alliance team includes more than 150 professionals working in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine.

Job specifics

Requirements:

  •  Strong commitment to confront medical/social/humanitarian challenges and motivation to work.

  • 2 years of work experience in social projects, health care and humanitarian programs in Ukraine.

  • Experience working with local non-governmental organizations, government and/or international institutions is required.

  • Relevant university degree (health, social sciences, medicine, etc.) is a plus.

  • Good command of written and spoken Ukrainian and English.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; strong team player.

  •  Strong analytical and reporting skills required.

  •  Ability to independently complete assigned tasks and adhere to strict and numerous deadlines.

  •  High level of computer literacy (MS Office, SPSS or other database and statistical packages).

  • The ability to think clearly and articulate clearly is important.

  • Willingness to travel and work full-time.

Duties:

  • Organize, coordinate and control the overall project work.

  • Conduct monitoring visits, provide technical support and control the quality and efficiency of project activities.

  • Regularly analyze and approve reports that consultants provide to the Alliance.

  • Include information about the implementation of the program in the reports of the Alliance to donors, state structures, international and other organizations.

  • Conduct periodic analysis of entered data by consultants.

  • Prepare and submit reports to donors, national and international organizations.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of project implementation, propose directions for development, identify potential risks and propose appropriate actions to resolve them.

  • Coordinate and organize regional visits of international experts, seminars and meetings of interested parties.

  • Constantly improve professional skills and develop personal abilities to increase work efficiency by attending trainings, educational sessions and self-improvement.

  • Maintain close communication with other Alliance teams related to project implementation.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Senior Project Officer: MDA (Primary Health Unit)

The International Charitable Foundation 'Alliance for Public Health' announces external recruitment to fill the position of Senior Project Officer: MDA (Primary Health Unit) in aPrimary Health project Unit that aims to enhance the Zaporizhzhia oblast's healthcare system by improving services and meeting community health needs. It willfacilitate the expansion of successful Health Recovery System (HRS) interventions through the RPC Resource Hub, disseminating best practices to promote health sector recovery and long-term sustainability. This will involve increasing the number of Primary Health Care Facilities (PHCFs) supported under the HRS grant program to broaden service provision and expanding specialized Health Care Facilities (HCFs) in selected communities of Zaporizhzhia oblast to restore services.

  • Readiness to go on business trips and work full time.

    Responsibilities:

  • Contribute information on program fulfillment to the Alliance reports to the donors, governmental structures, international and other organizations.

  • Prepare and submit reports to the Donors and national and international organizations.

  • Analyze the effectiveness of project activities' implementation, suggest areas for development, identify potential risks and suggest proper actions for their solving.

  • Coordinate and organize regional visits of international experts, workshops and stakeholders meetings.

  • Improve professional skills and develop personal abilities constantly to raise work efficiency while attending trainings, educational sessions, and self-improvement. 

  • Maintain close communication with the other Alliance teams relevant to the project implementation.

  • Perform other duties as required.
