Senior Product Manager in TSMG Holding

Our clent is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our leadership team and help grow Africa's leading online music service focused on the mass market. The company has millions of monthly users across Africa (with Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania and Kenya being main markets) and music licensed directly from +100,000 African musicians and 2 million international songs available through licensing agreements with international labels. The company has experienced rapid growth in recent years and they are currently a team of 40 full-time staff spread across Africa with a technical team in Romania. The focus is on 15 African countries and the aim is to grow to 50,000,000 users before June 2025. You will have the opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team constantly expanding and developing across Africa. The role is newly created giving you the opportunity to help shape it. - We offer millions of songs from Africa and abroad for free download and streaming. - The music can be accessed directly from our website and Android app, including the newest releases, DJ mixes, playlists, podcasts and music news. - We monetize our free-to-use service through advertisement sales. - We have partnerships with Vodacom, Airtel and MTN allowing users to subscribe for premium features. The company did an IPO in September 2020 and is listed at Nasdaq First North Growth Markets in Copenhagen, Denmark. What you’ll do:Own and manage the product roadmap. Research product needs, pitch ideas for product features and determine which features to include in the product roadmapManage the full lifecycle of product development (from concept to execution, including AB Testing and Metrics Tracking)Serving as a liaison between the organization, its stakeholders, product and developmentEvaluate product features and ensure that the product meets specific objectives as outlined by managementPlanning, managing and prioritizing the product backlogTranslating the company’s strategies into detailed product feature specifications and ensuring they’re clearly understood by relevant stakeholdersResearching and learning the market and the customers’ needsCommunicate product priorities internally and externally as well as staying accessible to stakeholders (including development) to answer questionsWho are we looking for?3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Sr. Product Manager, preferably across AfricaAbility to clearly articulate intent and strategic rationaleBattle-tested product management skills like story and PRD writing, stakeholder management and similarFamiliarity and experience with standard prototyping tools, such as Figma, Miro, Whimsical, and InvisionDeep experience in product development and optimizationUser-driven mindset while driving company objectivesPeople management experience is a plusStrong drive and an ability to work independently and in a team with a hands-on approach to problem solving of day-to-day issuesAbout the client: Our Vision: Provide Africa with Easy Access to Online Entertainment Our Mission: To be the primary pan-African online entertainment platform by contributing structure, legality, and income to the sector.
