Renesas Electronics — a company that manufactures integrated circuits for compact electronics ( mobile phones, laptops, tablets, headphones, IoT devices, etc.) as well as chips for the automotive market.

The Lviv office and, in particular, the product engineering team continues to grow and is looking for engineers.

To solve such tasks, you will analyze measurement data, build hypotheses about the problem based on this data, and coordinate the joint work of project teams (engineers from development, quality, test, chip characterization, factory representatives and contractors) in Europe , Asia and North America.

Knowledge and skills:

• Engineering education in the fields of: electronics, radio engineering, micro- and nanoelectronics, semiconductor physics, and related specialties .
• Knowledge of digital and analog circuits.
• Understanding the IC manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of statistical data processing methods.
• Basic programming skills (Python, C#, VBA, R or others).
• Proficiency in English at the Intermediate level.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of electrical test data of defective lots and individual units.
• Participation in the development of tests of electrical characteristics of microcircuits (Final test, Wafer test).
• Setting limits for rejecting abnormal samples (Wafer/Final test limits) and batches (SYL/SBL limits).
• Work on reducing the percentage of defective products (statistical data processing, failure analysis, management of destructive and non-destructive laboratory analysis of defective samples (Physical FA)).
• Communication with interdisciplinary teams to prevent and solve production problems.
• Decision regarding problem lots based on engineering evaluation of test data (hold lot disposition).
• Development and improvement of tools for statistical analysis (MS Excel, TIBCO Spotfire, etc.)
• Qualification support (ESD, HTOL, HTSL, BHAST) and determination of electrical product specifications (Test and Datasheet Specifications).Knowledge and application of standards and internal procedures for quality assurance.
• Help in solving production problems.
• Any critical issues are supported by experienced colleagues.
