Avenga is looking for a progressive Senior PHP Engineer to join our Norwegian project. Our client is one of the world’s largest global networks of on-demand production of customized items Our client supports a new wave of e-commerce entrepreneurs and a global shift towards local and more sustainable production. Local production on-demand will give a chance to lower the costs, provide shorter and faster delivery reducing carbon emissions.

The project aims to establish the world’s largest and most extensive network for on-demand production of customized items, including t-shirts, wall art, mugs, books, hoodies, and cards.

By rethinking the digital fabrication of customized products, this project seeks to revolutionize the way on-demand production is done. The integration of 3D printing capabilities will further enhance the service, enabling the creation of a vast array of innovative products. The project has already empowered thousands of e-commerce entrepreneurs to grow and scale their businesses, fostering a new era of entrepreneurial success.

What do you bring along:

• 5+ years as a PHP Engineer;
• Experience in developing e-commerce integrations with marketplaces and social commerce channels;
• Strong knowledge of API integration concepts, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization processes;
• Familiar with e-commerce platforms and technologies like Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, or BigCommerce;
• Familiarity and commercial experience with such technologies as Kubernetes, Docker, Symfony 5, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Memcache, Redis, ELK, Datadog, Сircle CI, Sentry;
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams;
• English — Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of JavaScript;
• B.S. degree in Information Technology or Computer Science;
• Experience in the print on demand or custom merchandise industry.

This is your mission:

• Write clean, well-designed code;
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;
• Develop and implement robust integrations between internal platform and various e-commerce marketplaces;
• Collaborate closely with internal development team to understand APIs and integration requirements;
• Design and implement scalable and efficient solutions that enable seamless product listings, order syncing, and fulfillment processes;
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant marketplace and platform guidelines;
• Provide documentation and technical support to both internal teams and external merchants using the integrations;
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the integrations.
