Senior PHP Developer (Symfony), Team Lead in Amazon Partner Company

Maya B LLC is an international holding company that has been working in the field of e-commerce for more than 15 years. Our head office is located in the USA, development offices in Ukraine, USA. The company has more than 50 employees. Today, Maya B LLC manages 5 subsidiary companies registered in the USA and Canada and Ukraine. At this stage, we are looking for a Senior PHP Developer (Symfony) / Team Lead for the company's internal product development team. About the project: We are developing a unique product for internal use and for further sales of international goods delivery services — a line of automated goods processing + a WEB application that serves the full cycle of logistics from the moment of ordering the goods to the delivery of the goods to the final buyer. The technologies we use: Programming languages: PHP 8, Javascript; Frameworks: Symfony, Laravel , React/Redux, Vue.js; DB: PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch; MB: Redis Stream, Amazon SQS; Apache Airflow, Docker, Zabbix. We want the candidate to have the following skills: Excellent knowledge of PHP (incl. application of new features of PHP8.0+); Experience with Symfony (2+ years); Design, development of REST API; Ability to work with message brokers; Design, development of software according to SOLID principles; Knowledge of design patterns and microservice architecture; Significant work experience with SQL, knowledge of query optimization and data model design; Automatic testing — functional and unit tests; Basic Linux administration skills; Experience in managing a team of programmers: managing a Git workflow project, conducting a code review; Determine directions for refactoring and optimization of the existing code base ;Able to document code competently and clearly;Able to identify problems and understand their causes (find the root cause) and always have two elimination plans: quick and long-term;Initiative and creativity in non-standard tasks, ability to express one's thoughts and solutions well and clearly; Management and control of deadlines in the project management system; Knowledge of the English language: upper-intermediate written. The advantage will be: Experience in optimizing and scaling PostgreSQL; Knowledge of Elasticsearch; Knowledge of bash, Python, Javascript; Skills of working with ChatGPT and experience of working with it for writing code and SQL queries; Knowledge of React; Experience using AWS services and their capabilities; Successful remote work experience. What needs to be done: Migration of REST API to Symfony with subsequent refactoring; Code-review, optimization of program code and SQL queries; Create and maintain automation services work with trading platforms, delivery services; Creation of a backend for new administrative functions; Data engineering; Team management.
