For our client from the USA, we are looking for a person for the position of PHP Developer. Headquartered in Kenmore, WA, the company develops mobile software for the building materials industry. In your daily work, you will be responsible for building tools (API) supporting the implementation of software to new customers. Initially, you will be involved in implementation and configuration, which will give you a better understanding of which areas can be automated and simplified.

The company employs several dozen people and, in addition to the office in the USA, it has two offices in Poland: Warsaw (3 people), Kraków (5 people).

The project you will be working on is software for producers of concrete mixtures and aggregates. The main application for handling orders and delivery schedules available through a browser, additionally some functionality is available in native iOS and Android applications.

What do you need to know?

We are definitely looking for a person , which has:

1. Very good knowledge of PHP (8.1) and object-oriented programming

2. Very good knowledge of SQL (we use MySQL 8.0, but solid experience with other databases, e.g. PostgreSQL will be sufficient)

3. Very good knowledge of the Unix/Linux environment, efficient use of the console

4. At least 5 years of experience working on large projects implemented in production

5. Basic knowledge of git

6. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English

7. Experience in projects with asynchronous data processing (e.g. RabbitMQ)

Important technical information:

• 70% of your work is creating new functionalities, and the remaining 30% is maintenance. 
• Reporting directly to the Lead Engineer. 
• Stack: Linux (AWS AMI), RabbitMQ 3.10, MySQL 8.0 (RDS), PHP 8.1, nginx, local environment in Docker
• Repository: GIT (Bitbucket)

• No direct contact with the end customer. All contact is handled by the Customer Support team.
