GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won the first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine rating of "50 best charitable organizations" and took 9th place in the integrity rating of charitable foundations of Ukraine. Resilience of First Responders" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, war-affected populations, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.

The geography of activity includes the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.

One of the main focuses of the work areas of the BF "Right to Defense" is to strengthen the capacity of local organizations and the efficiency of the work of members of the public sector and to promote the development of permanent, mutually reinforcing contacts and partnerships between them. Civil society organizations are important subjects that significantly complement the function of the state in providing social, humanitarian, educational and other needs of citizens. Therefore, they should develop and become professional, systematic and accountable in their work. BF "Right to Protection" focuses on work with CSOs that work in the same fields as the Foundation.

BF "Right to Protection" is looking for a candidate for the position of Senior organizational development specialist (mentor).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General coordination of the work of organizational development specialists, personnel development, assessment of work efficiency.

  • Coordination and development of tender conditions, selection criteria, questionnaires and other supporting documents for organizational development programs.

  • Coordination of the procedure for updating and improving the methodology for assessing organizational capacity and accompanying tools.

  • Coordination of the process of conducting/conducting an assessment of the organizational capacity of CSOs in accordance with the developed methodology. Controlpreparation and preparation of reports, conclusions and recommendations.

  • Coordinating the development of organizational development plans.

  • Support for the implementation of organizational development plans for CSOs.

  • Coordination of training and networking events, exchange of experience for CSOs.

  • Organization and holding of trainings, seminars and other educational events for improving the qualifications of specialists.

  • Introducing tools for planning and synchronizing program activities, maintaining an end-to-end calendar of project activities.

  • Preparation of materials for proconducting tenders and searching for external consultants and trainers.

  • Direct mentoring support for CSOs on organizational development.

  • Readiness for business trips for CSOs in the regions. (Attention! The fund does not guarantee a reservation from military service for men within the framework of these activities).

  • Maintenance of a database of CSOs - beneficiaries of the capacity building program of local organizations.

  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work experience in civil society organizations.

    Knowledge of the current legislation of Ukraine in the field of charitable organizations, etc.

  • Deep knowledge in one/several areas: strategic planning, fundraising, incl. grantwriting, external communications, development of internal policies/regulations/instructions, beneficiary needs assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented measures (MEAL), financial management, etc.  style="font-weight: 400">Excellent kcommunication skills, ability to cooperate and interact in a team.

  • Experience in organizing educational events and staff training.

  • Ability to analyze information and develop solutions. Attention to detail;

  • High communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with different people. Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity;

  • Willingness to work on business trips and remotely.

Contract for the duration of the project with the possibility of extension, which depends on further financing and personal work results;
